Franchises like Star Wars have put out multiple trilogies albeit it isn’t the only series that has gone beyond the one-trilogy format standard.

However, even after multiple trilogies, some franchises still have fans anxiously awaiting the next entry. The Star Wars franchise is likely the most well-known example of this, but it is far from the only film that has expanded beyond the traditional single trilogy.

Fans have taken a liking to hit movies launching hit trilogies and franchises, though this has expanded to provide more than one series of films or “trilogies” over time. It’s not uncommon for movie franchises to now release multiple trilogys in order to capitalise on the series’ continued success.
