5 Animated Movies That Made Our Childhood Awesome!
Animated movies are probably one of the finest genre since you can enjoy them at any age and they won’t stop fantasising you! It may look easy to make these movies, but it actually twice the efforts since the makers have to make sure that the viewers are transported to another reality while watching it.
Here are some of the best animated movies ever made (as per the AFI)!
1. The Lion King – 1994
This is hands down, one of the best ’90s film in general and not just animation. The film revolves around Simba, who ran away from his home after his father was killed by his evil uncle.
He makes new friends and then decides to return to Pride Lands to challenge his uncle Scar (who has crowned himself the kind) and take what is rightfully his. It has some amazing songs and vocal performances by the cast making it a classic fan favorite.
2. Shrek – 2001
Shrek is a cult classic. Period. Honestly, have y’all ever met someone who did not enjoy Shrek? The movie is full of hilarious jokes, amazing characters and a classic fairytale told with a twist.
Shrek, like every introvert, hates unwanted visitors (who are actually fairytale creatures) who are banished from their homes thanks to Lord Farquaad. Shrek’s journey begins as he along with Donkey, seek to find Farquaad in order to take back his swamp. And of course, he rescues Princess Fiona!
3. Toy Story – 1995
Toy Story was the first feature film of Pixar and damn, it earned them an amazing reputation for the film. Pixar went on to make many films full of heartwarming stories, yet Toy Story remains to be the most favorite in the entire Pixar collection.
The movie revolves around a child’s toys who come to life (when no one is looking) and have their own feelings and thinking too. Everything is well until the child is gifted new toys for his birthday and that is when the dynamics change. The movie gives an important message about friendship and ego both.
4. Finding Nemo – 2003
Finding Nemo is another fan favorite Pixar film. The story of the film is about Marlin, who swims across the ocean in order to find his son Nemo (who was taken by a diver). It’s an heartwarming film which tells us as to what limits a father could go to in order to rescue his child.
The film has amazing animation as it captures the underwater scenery. And oh, there’s Dory of course.
5. Beauty and the Beast – 1991
Beauty and the Beast is one of the finest works of Disney and it shows considering it is the first ever animated film to receive an Academy Award nomination for Best Picture. The story revolves around Belle (one of the best Disney princesses) who agrees to live with the Beast in order for her abducted father’s safe return.
Beast is a prince who was cursed to have a monstrous appearance. As the story progresses, Belle realises that he has a good heart and soon they grow closer. The film has stunning visuals, amazing music, and our favorite, a massive never ending library.
