5 Awful Movies To Ruin Your Day
We are in those times that if a movie exists which was even remotely successful, there are many chances that it has already been remade or rebooted and if neither, then the fact that the very least is that there would have been some discussions to do so.
And there are times that the outcome has been great even if they were not exactly better than the original movie.
Movies like the Dawn of the Dead (2004) ti the 2012 movie, a reboot would be right if worth the time.
But there are also some list of honest bad remakes that we all have to contend with.
In some cases the cast doesn’t shine or there is subpar writing and directly or making a movie so polished thanks to the CGI or the marketing gimmicks but it ends up losing the impact of the original.
And we all at a point have seen some movies that were just absolute worst.
We have prepared a list our least favorite remakes and reboots of the movies and are questioning why were they even made!
Have a look:
1. The Mummy (2017)
The Mummy starring Tom Cruise is a remake of a remake of a remake which was supposed to launch a new cinematic universe called “ The Dark Universe”. But the movie didn’t have any horror element and the only reason it seemed decent was due to the cast,
And of course their attempt to went down the drain… for the betterment of the world.
2. Men In Black: International (2019)
Okay. One question… WHY? They took a very successful franchise like Men in Black and infused it with the chemistry Chris Hemsworth and Tessa Thompson they shared in Thor. But the Men in Black: International completely obliterated that they even worked well together on screen. It was just so bad that even the two actors didn’t seem to be interested in the movie.
3. Fantastic Four (2015)
Why does Hollywood like to destroy all good things? The Josh Trank directed the Fantastic Four remake in 2015 and it was disastrous. Okay, maybe the original Fantastic Four movies were not “that” great but they atleast tried to have fun with what they do. But Josh’s Fantastic Four movie was more on the darker sci-fi side and it didn’t made much sense and excitement as the original. We are rooting for Marvel Cinematic Universe to give some justice to the characters.
4. Robocop (2014)
Seeing it theoretically, the remake of Robocop which came in 2014 should have been great. It had some fantastic and famous cast including Samuel L. Jackson and the concept was also interesting and exciting. But the movie was ended up being much far less exciting that the original. And it lead to a more gruesome movie.
5. Ghostbusters: Answer the Call (2016)
When Ghostbusters 2016 was announced we all thought “this is going to be a fun movie”. But sadly, it didn’t live up to that expectation. Paul Feig from The Office and Bridesmaids fame was directing and writing alongside Katie Dippold of Parks and Recreation fames and the cast was too great it had Melissa McCarthy, Kristen Wiig, Kate McKinnon, Leslie Jones and even Chris Hemsworth.
But nothing really worked for it; they tried to do some comedy, but it went over the top and it felt just like a typical studio movie which featured a third act with nothing substantial sloppy CGI fights.
