5 ‘Solo Leveling’ Arcs Infinitely Better than Jeju Island
- Fans are hyped for the animation of the Jeju Island arc.
- Here are the top 5 arcs that are way better than the Jeju Island arc.
- These arcs take Solo Leveling to new heights with their world-building.
With Solo Leveling season 2 inching closer to the Jeju Island arc, much anticipation has been directed towards it. It is undoubtedly a very good arc that focuses on Jinwoo’s personal growth and the team dynamics that he will have to follow. It also marks the point where a significant shift happens within the story.
However, deeming it the greatest is a far-fetched comment that many would not agree with. Solo Leveling has many arcs, and there are at least 5 that are way better than Jeju Island.
These showcase not just the core theme of Jinwoo leveling up but also deliver peak moments that broke the internet when they first dropped.
Monarchs War Arc
The Monarchs War Arc is the second last and the 19th story arc where the intricate lore of the Solo Leveling’s world was explored. You finally get answers to many of the questions that have been raised throughout the 1st and 2nd seasons of the anime. Plus, connect the dots about the world of the higher beings of Monarchs and Rulers.
Many things will happen here, and the Monarchs will try to attack Jinwoo in their pursuit of the Rulers’ vessels. Jinwoo will face off against some of his strongest opponents, which will include the Frost and the Beast Monarch.
Double Dungeon Arc
This arc is one of the most important because of its obvious significance in Jinwoo’s life. It was here where it all began, and Jinwoo got his hands on an unlimited source of power, making him something more than just a human.
He gets the opportunity to return to the dungeon, and Jinwoo wastes no time capitalizing on it. We see him search for answers as to why he was the one to get chosen and learn what the System’s plans are for him. However, Kandiaru, the hidden boss of the double dungeon, will not let Jinwoo win just like that.
Final Battle Arc
The name in itself explains the hype this arc has because everything comes crashing down here. Jinwoo finally attains all the powers of the Shadow Monarch, Ashborn, and becomes the strongest he can get at that point.
However, against him will be Antares, who also happens to be the oldest of the 9 Monarchs and the mightiest of all. Some might not agree with the unconventional ending of this arc, but many praised its build-up and eventual resolution.
Japan Crisis Arc
Japan Crisis Arc depicts one of the times when Jinwoo goes international and has his hands full with problems in Japan. When an S-ranked dungeon wreaks havoc in the land of the rising sun, their own hunters prove to be too weak.
Jinwoo, thus, steps in to handle the problem, but many other factors come into play, like the questionable motives of the Japanese hunter association. It will be interesting to see how the anime will portray this arc.
Ahjin Guild Arc
This arc is definitely the most personal for Jinwoo because it will involve his sister, Jinah, whom he loves dearly. Here, we will also see him forming his very own guild, which is, by default, the strongest in Korea.
The story will mainly focus on an unexpected attack that takes place in Jinah’s school by a horde of high orcs. Needless to say, Jinwoo was absolutely livid and at one of his angriest moments.
At the end of the day, it does not really matter whether you like or dislike an arc, as every arc from Solo Leveling is a masterpiece. Almost each of these contributes a lot to the storyline and development of the characters.
Solo Leveling Season 2 is airing on Crunchyroll.
