5 Wild MCU-DCEU Fanart Mashups We Wish Were True
The DCEU and MCU are always going to have a sense of competition between each other. In fact, fans from both sides will keep taking it to the Internet, sharing their perception about the respective franchises. It looks like the battle is somewhat never-ending. However, the comic world doesn’t have any such rivalry. Both DC and Marvel comics co-existed soberly and have even shared multiple artists and writers between them. There has been a time where the publishers shared comic arcs together.
It is somewhere not possible in the movie world because of the crazy copyright and licensing issues. But what’s wrong in wondering? We could have Chris Evans and Henry Cavill talking about law and order and justice, Scarlett Johansson taking tips from Gal Gadot, and Tom Holland becoming an idol for Ezra Miller. With that being said, these are the 5 wild MCU-DCEU fanart mashups we wish were true –
Bruce Wayne As SHIELD’s Director
What if Bruce Wayne enters the Marvel Cinematic Universe? While there are many possibilities that he could adapt, one is to join the SHIELD and become its director. With that said, a fan shared a piece of art depicting his imagination – what if Bruce decides to serve the government after entering the MCU and stars working with the Avengers?
That’s quite a nice color combination. In fact, the bat symbol and gray plating highlight his alter ego’s memories from the past. However, we are not quite sure why he’s wearing the eye patch there. But it looks like a homage that depicts Nick Fury’s classic version from the MCU. Wonder how effective the organization would become if someone like Wayne joins and takes over it.
Aquaman And Daredevil
Jason Momoa’s Aquaman and Charlie Cox’s Daredevil were not really the primary inspiration for this art. However, the combination isn’t that bad. In fact, it is looking quite impressive. By combining the muted red color of Daredevil’s costume with the bright orange color of Aquaman, a fan drafted this attractive mashup art. What actually is selling this piece of art is the thought process behind it. As a result, it looks not just something to fall in love with but feels more authentic as well.
Quicksilver And Barry Allen
Barry Allen, as he claims, is the fastest man alive. However, it is Marvel’s Quicksilver who appears to be somewhat similar to DC’s Flash. There has been this insane debate on the topic regarding who’s a better speedster. However, a fan drafted this piece of art that highlights the motto – “why not both?” As far as its looks are concerned, it feels like he’s considering Arrowverse’s Flash and X-Men’s version of Quicksilver more instead of DCEU and MCU’s versions. Whatever the inspiration has been, the mashup looks really cool and intriguing.
Batman And Captain America
What if it was MCU’s Steve Rogers getting the Super Soldier serum after a Nazi killing his parents during WWII? The product would have been a classic Captain Batman. Apparently, Batman and Captain America’s fighting styles do have some similarities. Perhaps that is why this fanart mashup looks more prominent. With that said, the image depicts Captain America’s patriotic colors and Batman’s all-black look. However, it might feel odd to some MCU fans as watching Captain America in such a color combination isn’t a regular practice after all. But to cover up on that; there’s also the legendary Vibranium shield present in the image.
Green Lantern And Iron Man
Iron Man has quite a several possibilities to get mashed up with. However, DC’s Green Lantern and MCU’s Iron Man are some of the biggest ones. Apparently, it was Amalgam Universe who introduced this version first in their comics. But this fanart referred to it as “Iron Lantern” that has the combined skills of the technical genius and Green Lantern’s ring.
