Tomb Raider King: Every Talent, Ranked by Usefulness

Tomb Raider King: Every Talent, Ranked by Usefulness

In Tomb Raider King, the power system revolves around relics, but you can’t just pick up a relic and expect to suddenly become strong. Every relic user needs a “talent,” which is basically their natural way of controlling a relic so it doesn’t turn on them.

These talents in the anime have been described in three aspects: Sociability/Affinity, Dominance, and Compatibility (also called Synergy). Some talents are easier to use, some are riskier, and some just hit way harder than others. Here’s how they stack up from least to most useful.

3. Synergy – The Matches Made in Heaven

Synergy isn’t about getting a relic to work with you; it’s more about how much of that relic’s full power you can actually pull out once it’s already yours. Think of it like owning the same game console as someone else, but you are aware of all the settings because it’s simply perfect for you, while your friend isn’t.

So, a musician would have more synergy with a musical instrument. An artist would be amazing with a pen. However, since this is very situational and depends on the user, it ranks the lowest of the three.

2. Sociability – The Most Common Talent

Sociability, or Affinity, is the “nice guy” route. Instead of forcing a relic to obey, you build a relationship with it, and most people naturally lean this way since it’s the simplest talent to grow. Be good to your relic and your relic will be good to you.

Characters like Yoo Jae-Ha rely on this path, and it lets users unlock the full power of relics that specifically require a bond, like Composer Salieri’s Music Book. Seo Joo-Won takes this even further. She uses her insanely high Sociability to calmly walk up and take relics from other users, even high-ranked ones, without a fight. Charm plays a big role here.

The catch is that this path isn’t free. Once a relic gets too attached to its owner, it starts releasing a toxic aura that slowly messes the user up, a condition called Relic Syndrome, which makes it so it isn’t the best talent.

1. Dominance – Having the Authority Over the Relic

Now, we discuss the best talent. It is exactly what it sounds like. Instead of befriending a relic, you flex your willpower until it has no choice but to obey. You may even compare it to Conqueror’s Haki in a way from One Piece.

Seo Joo-Heon is the poster boy for this path, and he actively chooses Dominance over Sociability early on, refusing to ever bow to a relic even if it could kill him. His Dominance eventually reaches a rank so high it’s basically off the charts, letting him casually control relics that would wreck anyone else.

The perks are huge, and that is why it ranks at the top. Dominance skips the whole Relic Syndrome problem entirely, works faster than building a bond, and scales up to the strongest relics in the story. There is still some risk involved since a weak Dominance can get you smacked down by a powerful relic, but for anyone strong enough to pull it off, it’s simply the best option.
