Boruto: Naruto Next Generations has had a big year, with the fight against the Kara Organization ending with the Nine-Tailed fox and Jigen both, dying at the end, as a result, and these fast-paced battles have had the fans of Hidden Leaf Villages proclaiming the anime series of the year. The new anime adaptation is currently diving into a new round of Churin exams which brings the next generation of ninjas around the world in a bid to get some serious promotions and it will be interesting to see what new difficulties will be thrown at Team 7 in the series.

As of now, the manga is going with the story of the war against Kara although with a huge twist. Now that Jigen is no more in the picture, Boruto and his friends are fighting against his heir apparent in Code, who is preparing a team of evil ninjas avenging the loss of his master while continuing the goals of the celestial ninjas, also known as Otsutsuki. #BORUTO is anime of the year regardless of what people say or people who may be mocking the series for it's success. You'd be happy if your series got an adaptation like Boruto that's faithful to it's manga and even have an anime that's continuing to begin with. Some have none.
