But one thing that fans noticed was a reunion of two Hollywood legends in her song Fortnight featuring Post Malone.

Taylor Swift’s Fortnight becomes the Dead Poets Society reunion

Taylor Swift collaborated with the very talented Post Malone for her recently released The Tortured Poets Department album for the song Fortnight. A music video was also released for the song, and Dead Poets Society’s actors Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles made a surprise cameo in the video.

“I’m still laughing from getting to work with the coolest guys on Earth. Ethan Hawke and Josh Charles (tortured poets, meet your colleagues from down the hall, the dead poets).”

The two of them, along with Post Malone, play doctors in the music video who perform shock therapy on Swift following her tortured romance with the rapper. Talking about her collaboration with Post Malone, Taylor Swift mentioned that Malone blew her mind away as the tortured tragic hero, and she is very grateful to him for everything he put into this collaboration.

Josh Charles also decided to take the opportunity to express his views on being a part of Taylor Swift’s work, as he wrote on his social media,

Ethan Hawke also wrote on his social media that Todd and Knox from the Dead Poets Society are now PhDs in the Tortured Poets Department. He added that it’s quite an honor for him and thanked Swift for the opportunity to include him in the view. He ended the post by saying, ‘Carpe diem’!

“When I was writing the Fortnight music video, I wanted to show you the worlds I saw in my head that served as the backdrop for making this music. Pretty much everything in it is a metaphor or a reference to one corner of the album or another. For me, this video turned out to be the perfect visual representation of this record and the stories I tell in it.”
