Keanu Reeves is set to be honored with the inaugural Lance Reddick Legacy Award at the 51st Saturn Awards on February 4th, 2024. The ceremony will be dedicated to the memory of the late Reddick, who passed away in March 2023 at the age of 60. Reeves and Reddick shared a close friendship and worked together on the John Wick action-thriller franchise, where Reddick played the role of Charon, the concierge at the Continental Hotel. Lance Reddick Legacy Award was announced in honor of Lance Reddick for artists who epitomize talent, goodwill, and gratitude in the entertainment industry. Reeves seems to be the perfect candidate for the award because of his kindness and humility despite his fame.

The Academy of Science Fiction, Fantasy, and Horror Films created the award to celebrate performers who are not only talented but also embody a spirit of goodwill and gratitude in the industry.
According to Variety, in a statement, Academy President Robert Holguin and Saturn Awards producers Bradley and Kevin Marcus said, “Keanu is not just a Hollywood icon but also a shining example of humility and gratitude. Throughout his incredible career, he has never forgotten the support of his fans and the filmmakers who’ve supported him all these years.”
