ABC’s Ratings on Nightmarish Levels Following Amy Robach-T. J. Holmes ‘Good Morning America’ Affair, May Bring Back Disgraced Host Chris Harrison To Boost Ratings as ‘The Bachelor’ Reportedly on Life Support
It seems like firing Amy Robach and T.J. Holmes from Good Morning America 3 did not work out in the network’s favor. The couple made first headlines in November last year after their affair was revealed to the public. After being temporarily taken off Good Morning America in November, it was revealed last month that the hosts won’t be returning to the show anymore. The duo reportedly signed off their exit settlement by the end of January. According to sources, the ratings of GMA3 have taken a dive since the couple’s departure from the talk show.
Another ABC show, The Bachelor has not been doing so well this year and the network is very concerned about its ratings. ABC might even bring back the outcast host, Chris Harrison to boost the rating of The Bachelor.
ABC might bring back the outcasted host to The Bachelor
The Bachelor has been seeing regular dips in their viewership for the last 3 seasons. January 23 premiere saw only 2.96 million viewers which were almost half a million less than the previous season premiere. A source at ABC opened up recently about the show’s constant downfall. The source said, “The Bachelor has been a downhill mess that they are trying to keep from falling even farther down but execs are preparing this premiere to be the lowest in the show’s history.”

As reported by RadarOnline, ABC might even bring Chris Harrison back to The Bachelor in the hope to boost the show’s ratings. Chris Harrison left the show back in February 2021 after hosting the show for more than 2 decades.
Chris Harrison’s exit from The Bachelor
Back in 2021, Chris Harrison faced a lot of hate for defending a contestant from the show. Harrison allegedly tried to defend contestant Rachael Kirkconnell for her attending an antebellum plantation-themed party. For the unversed, antebellum-era celebrations are considered racist and have been criticized a lot for their roots in slavery. So, when Harrison tried to defend Rachel Kirkconnell for attending such a party, the host received a lot of criticism from the fans.
On his The Most Dramatic Podcast Ever, Harrison opened up about his greatly criticized exit from the show. He said, “I was mad at myself. I was disappointed in myself. The last thing in the world I ever wanted to do was be an agent of anything negative — whether it had to do with race or anything.”
In another piece of news, it was recently reported that Amy Robach has postponed her marriage to T.J. Holmes. According to sources, the couple is reportedly taking things slow. Since their departure from GMA3 was finalized, ABC has not named any official replacements for the two.
