Across the Spider-Verse Star Hailee Steinfeld Debunks Spider-Gwen Spinoff Rumors: “This is one I haven’t heard of”

Steinfeld is also part of the MCU, but her voice in the computer-animated superhero film Spider-Man has catapulted her to fame. Hailee Steinfeld opens up about Spider-Gwen spinoff rumors
The much-awaited live-action Marvel superhero movie from Sony, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, has finally succeeded in taking the top spot at the box office upon its release. The 2018 Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse won an Academy Award and received excellent praise, and has amassed the second-highest number of previews for an animated movie.
Hailee Steinfeld, who voices Spider-Gwen in the animated movies, opened up about her experience and managed to debunk any spinoff rumors. The actress sat with The Hollywood Reporter and spoke about how the new film in Spider-Verse dives deep into Gwen Stacy/Spider-Woman’s life. The 26-year-old actress was surprised by the script and felt special as Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse opens with a lot of Gwen’s story. She said,
“We dug a little deeper into who she is and why she is the way she is, and it’s a big evolution from where she was in the first one. I’ve always loved this character, but I love her so much more in this film from what we learn about her.”
Being part of Marvel has trained Steinfeld of keeping things secret. She plays Kate Bishop in the MCU’s Hawkeye series. When asked about any news on the rumblings of a spin-off with Spider-Woman, the actress seemed surprised.
She said, “I do, but this is one I haven’t heard of.” The Edge of Seventeen actress explained that playing Gwen in live-action would be the easiest yes of her life.
The animated movie stars Shameik Moore as Miles Morales, Hailee Steinfeld as Gwen Stacey, Oscar Isaac as Miguel O’Hara/Spider-Man 2099, and Jake Johnson as Peter B. Parker.

Hailee Steinfeld says Spider-Gwen s’ scene with her father was her favorite
Hailee Steinfeld voiced Gwen Stacy from Earth 65. Due to her double existence, Stacy stays away from others as Miles does. The outcome has been a deterioration in her relationship with her police captain father. Due to her experiences, Gwen Stacy is a young girl who displays a high level of maturity and calmness for her age. She exudes confidence and serenity.
In the new movie, Steinfeld described her scene with Shea Whigham, who voice her dad in the film. The 26-year-old actress explained the scenes between Whigham to be “very emotional and very moving.” She even confessed the scene with Whigham was her favorite.
