After Being Called ‘Phony Gay’, $7M Rich Lil Nas X Refusing to Date Celebs: “Could do without dating celebrities”
American artist Lil Nas X has his way of communicating with people. He rose to prominence when his song, Old Town Road hit the charts and went super viral across the globe in 2019. This single became the longest-running number-one song on the U.S. Billboard Hot 100. Apart from music, he also garnered attention in his personal life when he came out as gay the same year.
While the $7M rich singer is not dating anyone as per reports, he recently opened up about how he used to find a love interest on a famous application, Raya. However, now he is not into dating celebrities.
Lil Nas X Shared About Not Wanting to Date Famous People
The 23-year-old musician, Lil Nas X recently appeared on James Corden’s Carpool Karaoke in which he opened up about his choice of not dating any famous personalities. He came to this conclusion after utilizing the dating application, Raya for some time.
He told Corden,
“I think I stopped using Raya… It just like, fell off for me and I just started to meet people in person.”
He continued to point out that the dating application was “very famous, everyone’s famous on there.” He even opened up about meeting a few personalities however he decided not to date the renowned people.
“I’ve met quite a few famous guys. I think I’ve come to know that I don’t like dating famous people.”
The networking app indeed had a massive reach as Corden asked the artist whether anyone he met had ever appeared on Carpool Karaoke. He affirmed this which surprised the host in a good way.

While Corden was quite surprised, he went on to guess the person who appeared on his show by asking whether he was Michael Bublé. To which, he initially was tight-lipped, “I’m not going to tell you” and later on shared, “Yeah, yeah. You caught me.”
He sarcastically asked, “Could you imagine?”
A little later, the That’s What I Want singer asked if the Canadian singer was gay to which Corden clarified by stating no.
This little conversation got a response from the Bublé himself as he replied to the tweet which read, “IT’S CONFIRMED: @lilnasx isn’t dating @michaelbuble”

The American singer recently garnered headlines when he faced some criticism for his Lollapalooza Chile set in which some believed that he was pretending to be gay however he gave a clear response to his trollers. He is known for making cheeky comments and this time was no different. He is currently preparing for his comeback with a new collection of music that would entice the hearts of his fans.
