There appears to be no end to the director-actress Olivia Wilde’s problems recently. The actress is increasingly trying to get rid of her post-breakup sadness, but she is being pushed through more new challenges. Don’t Worry Darling’s director-actress has been making headlines since she and her co-star Harry Styles announced they were taking a relationship break which turned out to be an actual break-up. Since her relationship with the singer ended, Olivia Wilde has focused on motherhood, self-care and healing as she still finds it difficult to cope with her sadness.

While dealing with her post-breakup situation, she must also prepare for another legal issue in which she is not alone, as her ex-fiancé Jason Sudeikis is also being targeted. It has been reported that a former nanny Ericka Genaro, who was taking care of former fiancés’ children, has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit, asserting that she was fired due to her request for medical leaves.

Former Nanny Filed A Lawsuit Against Jason Sudeikis And Olivia Wilde

Ericka Genaro, the former nanny of Olivia Wilde and Jason Sudeikis’ kids, has filed a wrongful termination lawsuit against both actors in the Los Angeles County Superior Court. The nanny also made a few bombshell claims about them in the past, as she worked from 2018 to 2021 for the couple. Genaro alleged in her lawsuit that she got fired despite having medical health conditions and stress.

According to documents obtained by Page Six, Ericka Genaro claimed in the lawsuit that her doctor prescribed her a three-day medical leave in 2021 to deal with the stress caused by the former couple’s split drama. Genaro further claimed that when she reached out to Sudeikis for medical leaves, which she addressed as “stress leave”, in which she needed “radio silence,” he allegedly fired her simultaneously.

In the documents, Genaro asserted that after Wilde moved out of the home to start her romance with Harry Styles reportedly in 2020, the nanny’s role in their lives “increased exponentially.” As a result, her stress and anxiety rapidly increased during that time.

Also, the documents stated,

“The pressure of [Genaro] not only being the primary caretaker of the children but also filling in Wilde’s absence for the children, became debilitating.”

Genaro alleged that her work duties have also become much more intense, requiring her to work round-the-clock. As a result of Genaro’s termination, she contended that Sudeikis and Wilde violated several California employment laws, seeking substantial damages under the Fair Employment and Housing Act.

Former Fiancés Have Criticized The Same Nanny In The Past

Olivia Wilde’s former nanny reported that Jason Sudeikis became angry when Wilde tried to leave the couple’s California home to visit Harry Styles with a salad and her special dressing.

The nanny claimed in an interview with Daily Mail,

“The night she left with her salad, Jason had chased after her, videotaping her in the house. She [Wilde] was saying: ‘I’m scared of you, Jason, I’m scared of you.’ And he said: ‘If you’re scared of me, why are you leaving your kids with me?’”

“So then, Jason went outside and lay under her car so she wouldn’t leave. She got in her car to back up; he lay under her car.”

During the interview with the outlet, Genaro claimed Sudeikis was angry and heartbroken over Wilde’s relationship with Harry Styles and forced Wilde to return home as a result. But, hours after the nanny’s interview article published by Daily Mail in 2022, the former fiancés told Page Six,

“As parents, it is incredibly upsetting to learn that a former nanny of our two young children would choose to make such false and scurrilous accusations about us publicly.”

“Her now an 18-month-long campaign of harassing us, as well as loved ones, close friends and colleagues, has reached its unfortunate apex. We will continue to focus on raising and protecting our children with the sincere hope that she will now choose to leave our family alone.”

They slammed the nanny’s claims in a joint statement to the outlet and discussed their priority towards their kids despite the drama surrounding them. During the Saturday Night Live finale party in May 2011, the ex-fiancés first met. After becoming engaged in January 2013, they welcomed their first child, Otis, in 2014 and their second child, Daisy, in 2016. In November 2020, Wilde and Sudeikis announced their separation, ending a seven-year engagement and continuing their custody battle.

Don’t Worry Darling’s director won her first custody battle in August 2022. While Sudeikis and Wilde may be up for another custody battle for their children, it appears that they were on good terms as they were spotted hugging each other last month.
