In the wake of his highly publicized divorce from Angelina Jolie, Hollywood heartthrob Brad Pitt has said to face difficult times which were marked by strained relations with his kids and a battle with alcohol addiction. Talking about his struggle Brad Pitt opened up about his sobriety and what made him take this path.

Brad Pitt’s Life Post His Split with Jolie was a Living Nightmare
In an interview with The New York Times, the 59 years old Ad Astra star, Brad Pitt recalled his life after his split with the Hollywood beauty queen Angelina Jolie.
Pitt confirmed that in the wake of his divorce from ex-wife Angelina Jolie and with all the courtroom drama about their children’s custody, his relationship with his children was stained. As per the reports, Madoxx the eldest son of the then-power couple who was adopted by both of them has stopped communicating with Pitt after the divorce. With all the drama going around the father-son bond was getting terrible and sources even confirm that Madoxx had stopped considering Brad Pitt as his father.
Even in the courtroom, it has been very difficult for Brad Pitt to get custody of any of his kids as everything came down to his drinking problem. The stained relationship with his family especially his kids and the destructive pattern of Pitt’s drinking following his split from Jolie, all made his time a living hell.
Brad Pitt went all sober
Talking about his life after the split with Angelina Jolie, Brad Pitt also recalled the time when he decided to go sober. After the issues with his kids and the inability of the actor to gain their custody, he realized that he has taken things way too far and to overcome this he deiced to give up on his drinking habit.

Talking to The New York Times, Pitt said, “I had taken things as far as I could take it, so I removed my drinking privilege.”
Pitt also recalled his process of getting over his drinking habits. He recalled the times with a group of fellow male members in Alcoholics Anonymous and said “You had all these men sitting around being open and honest in a way I have never heard. It was this safe space where there was little judgment, and therefore little judgment of yourself. It was freeing just to expose the ugly sides of yourself. There’s great value in that.”
While the Hollywood icon’s story is far from over, his chapter from the past has indeed given the industry and fans Brad Pitt’s picture of family man.
