Emilia Clarke finally made her MCU debut with Secret Invasion, a new Disney+ television series that is part of the larger Marvel Cinematic Universe. Though Clarke is already well-versed in the world of blockbusters, she vehemently opposed the criticisms targeted toward Marvel actors.
In a recent interview with the LA Times, the Game Of Thrones actress addressed the negativity surrounding the realm of green screen acting. She explained saying,

About Emilia Clarke’s Character In Secret Invasion
Audiences are genuinely in search of an explanation for Emilia Clarke’s character twist in Disney+’s Secret Invasion. While many thought Clarke would secretly be playing Abagail Brand, it turns out she’s actually G’iah, the daughter of Ben Mendelsohn’s Talos. With three episodes already released, it is clear that Clarke is playing with the villains.
Clarke plays a Skrull named G’iah, though it isn’t her first MCU appearance. G’iah was subtly introduced back in Captain Marvel, specifically nearing the end of the film. She made an appearance in a reunion scene set on a space station. The show was kept under wraps for a long while as Marvel excels at maintaining secrecy. But with the release of three episodes, the fans have got much-needed clarity regarding Clarke’s role in the series.
Based on the first teaser, Clarke looked like an agent which led fans to assume that she will be playing Abigail Brand, a commander of S.W.O.R.D. There isn’t enough information on who G’iah is and what will be her future in the MCU version.
