After T. J. Holmes Pulls the Racism Card, Sh*t-Scared ABC Reportedly Relents on Firing Him and Amy Robach – Couple Likely to Return to ‘Good Morning America’
T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach infamously fell down the pit for their “workplace romance”. When the news of their affair broke out, a lot of parties were shocked. But no one was as shocked as ABC definitely.
In the aftermath of the rumors that Good Morning America hosts T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach started seeing each other, ABC seemed adamant to show the duo the door. But it seems to have changed its stance in the course of the last few days after T. J. Holmes used the ace up his sleeve.
T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach are in deep trouble
According to TMZ, Good Morning America is still holding investigations into T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach‘s relationship, whether or not the relationship violated company protocols. The couple’s relationship seems to have caused quite the rage in the studio, with sources close to the network saying that completing an inquiry is the primary aim at this moment.
The controversy doesn’t end there though. It is also contended that T. J. Holmes might have been involved in more than one affair at the network. The range of his partners was not limited to employees only. It is believed that it included an intern as well. They need to ascertain the legitimacy of these claims and decide what impact they will have.
The next one in line is…
The investigation against Holmes and Robach has still not been completed. And while the committee is doing its work behind the scenes, people are busy speculating who will be the ones to replace them. A range of hosts has filled the duo’s shoes in their absence, including DeMarco Morgan, who is the rumored forerunner for the post.
The other ones who have hosted the show in the 45-year-old and 49-year-old’s absence include Rhiannon Ally, Gio Benitez, and Stephanie Ramos. But sources have revealed that this is far from true. There is no final consensus on any person’s appointment. And this is in no small part down to T. J. Holmes’ legal strategy.
T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach are ready with lawsuits
Both T. J. Holmes and Amy Robach seem to have read the mood of the tide and have engaged lawyers to prepare for the coming days. The former has appointed Andrew Brettler while the latter has gone with Eric George. And the focal point of their argument will be race. They will pose the question, “Has ABC ever used the morals or conduct clause to fire or discipline 2 consenting adults at equal levels when both were white?”
This seems to have given ABC a reality check of things to follow. They will complete the inquiry in light of the above-mentioned statements. No one wants to be embroiled in a controversy for firing someone based on their race.
Only time will tell the course things take.
