Agatha: Darkhold Diaries Episode Count Revealed: Is Kathryn Hahn Show Copying Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision?
First introduced in Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision, Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha Harkness became a prominent and interesting character in the show. And now the witch is coming back with her standalone show titled Agatha: Darkhold Diaries.
Recently, the episode count of Hahn’s show has been revealed. Marvel shows typically have around six episodes, but Agatha: Darkhold Diaries will consist of a total of nine episodes of which the last one is titled The Witches’ Road. Seems like this upcoming series is copying WandaVision, as Olsen’s show also ran for nine episodes.
Kathryn Hahn’s Agatha: Darkhold Diaries’ Total Episode Count Revealed
Despite being one of the most villainous characters in WandaVision, Marvel decided to cast Kathryn Hahn as the leading foe in the upcoming Agatha: Darkhold Diaries. According to a post shared on X (earlier Twitter), Hahn’s show will run for a total of nine episodes, with the last one being titled The Witches’ Road. As the aggregate number of episodes has been revealed, it sounds similar to Elizabeth Olsen’s WandaVision, which introduced the fans to Agatha Harkness.

In WandaVision, Agatha is initially presented as a friendly yet snoopy neighbor of Wanda in the town of Westview, who eventually reveals the truth behind her reality and introduces the true self of being a formidable witch who plotted against Wanda. In the comic books, Agatha has been a mentor to many characters. This upcoming spinoff will revolve around her story and connection with Scarlet Witch aka Wanda Maximoff as she taught her different magical arts and helped master her powers.
Initially, Wanda knew Agatha as Agnes (her false identity), and trusted her as a best friend. Faking to be one of her allies, the witch gets the opportunity to plot against Scarlet Witch and hide her true self. However, soon Wanda discovered that Hahn’s character was part of a coven in Salem, Massachusets, during the era of the Salem Witch Trials. The witch even killed her mother and committed numerous murders before flying away. Having studied magic for centuries, Agatha Harkness is an extremely skilled sorceress.
Many Fans Disliked The Standalone Series For Agatha Harkness
Though Kathryn Hahn was praised for portraying the evil witch in WandaVision, many fans expressed disappointment with giving Agatha Harkness a standalone show, through a post shared on X (earlier Twitter) by Discussing Film.
