“Airport this way”: French Montana Shows No Sympathy to Cristiano Ronaldo After His Emotional Exit From World Cup
Cristiano Ronaldo’s quest for a World Cup title for Portugal ended on December 10, 2022. The star player was seen on the bench several times during the World Cup and after being unable to lead his team into the finals, he was left heartbroken. The Portuguese player is 37 years old now and considering he would be 41 by the next World Cup, FIFA 2022 was the last opportunity for him to win the trophy for his country.
As Ronaldo walked down the tunnel in tears, Morocco celebrated its victory and entry into the World Cup semifinals. With its win, Morocco became the first African country to qualify for the FIFA World Cup 2022 semifinals. And celebrating the victory, the Moroccan-American rapper, French Montana showed no sympathy for the Portuguese soccer player.
French Montana Celebrates Cristiano Ronaldo’s Loss
French Montana had a huge gathering in New York City to celebrate Morocco’s victory against Portugal and its entry into the World Cup semifinals. The rapper was born and raised in Casablanca till he was thirteen and later moved to the United States.
He is celebrating Morocco’s victory and is not even hesitant to troll Cristiano Ronaldo. Montana started trolling the star player by sharing his memes on Instagram. He captioned the image saying, “LEGENDARY ON ANOTHER LEVELLLLLL!” in all caps, adding the phrase “HAMDULILLAH” or “praise be to god.”
He further said in the caption, “Ronaldo u had your time g … it’s Morocco time.” The rapper did not stop there. Montana went on to share another edited image of himself with Cristiano Ronaldo, captioning the post, “RONALDOO, AIRPORT THIS WAY.”
French Montana is known for being a Soccer fan and has continuously supported The Atlas Lions. Earlier, the rapper congratulated the Morocco national football team, The Atlas Lions, for qualifying for the quarterfinals.
Followed by his post, Ronaldo fans have asked the rapper to be happy about Morocco’s win, instead of celebrating Cristiano Ronaldo’s loss. People also pointed out that the posts are mean and disrespectful and claimed that the rapper is going to lose many followers for being disrespectful toward the legendary player.
Is FIFA 2022 Cristiano Ronaldo’s Last World Cup?
A day after Portugal’s exit from the ongoing FIFA World Cup, Cristiano Ronaldo shared a cryptic Instagram post. In the post, he shared that winning the World Cup title for his country was his biggest dream. Although he won many international titles, he was not able to put his country’s name “on the highest foot in the World.”
He also expressed that he is grateful to his teammates, Portuguese people, and his fans who supported him throughout his career. The FIFA 2022 is considered to be the fifth and last World Cup for Ronaldo. And one sentence in his post had fans assuming that the player has confirmed that he would return for the next World Cup.
“For now, there’s not much more to say. Thank you, Portugal. Thank you, Qatar. The dream was beautiful while it lasted… Now, it’s time to be a good advisor and allow everyone to draw their own conclusions,” Cristiano Ronaldo said in his post.
He also mentioned that one of the biggest dreams of his life ended with Portugal’s loss on December 10, 2022. He did not mention anything about his future plans in the post.
