Pitt and the Maleficent actress met on the set of Mr. & Mrs. Smith. They even worked on-screen for the second time on By the Sea. The actress in an interview revealed the strangest things that happened while shooting their second film. The Bullet Train actor and his ex-wife were balancing their personal and professional life while shooting the film. However, there was an incident when Pitt relieved himself all over his ex-wife’s shoes.
In the film, their characters have tense exchanges, which took some work for the mother of six to completely represent. She said,
“Brad and I had this one day when we were like, ‘Let’s just do ridiculous things and see what happens.”
The actress added,
“By the end of it, he had pissed all over my shoes, I had packed up the entire [hotel] room to leave, and he wrote ‘pillhead’ with an arrow on my head with a Sharpie while [my character] was sleeping.”
This seductive drama marked their first onscreen reunion since their collaboration in Mr. & Mrs. Smith in 2005. Sadly, this was also Jolie and Pitt’s final time working on a movie together. Their marriage fell apart shortly after working on By the Sea.

The duo were struggling with filming intimate scenes for the movie. The Salt actress revealed working with Pitt on the set made her uncomfortable. The former couple had a few difficult moments, citing the fact that they would have to come close while being filmed. Angelina Jolie had to make sure that the limits between her personal life and her professional life remained distinct and that nothing crossed them to an excessive extent.
The Lara Croft actress acknowledged the awkwardness of directing and shooting such scenes with her ex-husband in the movie. The pair portrayed a married couple experiencing a newfound fascination with their neighbors. The film was written and directed by Jolie.
