It was in 2005 when the original Avatar: The Last Airbender debuted on Nickelodeon, gaining a huge fanbase and critical acclaim for Tyler Eisen. However, the actor’s major dream was to work behind the cameras and learn filming and production. Soon after he completed high school, the young lad attended Syracuse University and took a break from acting.
In a 2021 podcast Braving the Elements, Tyler Eisen talked about focusing on cinematography and working in some TV productions during his time in college. The actor also revealed that during his time at the University, he also did odd jobs in the industry.
Zach Tyler Eisen Reveals His Favorite Avatar: The Last Airbender Episode
In the same podcast, Zach Tyler Eisen talked about voicing Aang and which episode he adores the most. The actor was also joined by Dante Basco and Janet Varney, the voices behind Zuko and Korra on the podcast when Eisen disclosed his favorite episode.
“ I think that the most memorable to me, and I’ve said this before, is the King Bumi episode. I feel that’s kind of where I started to feel like I was hitting my stride as an actor like I started to understand the character. It was just a really fun episode.”
The King of Omashu is Zach Tyler Eisen’s favorite episode from the very first season of the original Avatar: The Last Airbender that came out in 2005. The episode explores the fun adventure of Aang, Katara, and her older brother Sokka. The actor also mentioned having other favorites, like Zuko Alone, which is the only episode of the original animated series without the titular hero.
