“Average performance pregnant or not”: WWE Legend Ignores Rihanna’s Pregnancy, Harshly Criticizes Her Super Bowl Performance
Rihanna made a stellar comeback on stage with her Super Bowl Halftime show yesterday, and fans got the chance to finally witness her perform after five long years. She had been busy becoming a billionaire via her brand Fenty Beauty, and having a baby with A$AP Rocky. The February 12 performance was a gift in itself, but she also had another surprise in store for her fans – that she is having another baby with her beau.
While Riri didn’t make any official announcement about the same, her palpable baby bump made it quite obvious. However, it did not deter her from giving an absolutely fiery show to the audience. However, there were a few who managed to find fault still, Donald Trump and WWE legend Dutch Mantel being some prominent names.
Donald Trump was not impressed by Rihanna’s Halftime performance
Rihanna’s Super Bowl Halftime performance in Arizona was a delight for her fans, but it also divided quite a few people. From several being disappointed to know that they won’t be getting a new album since the Only Girl singer is expecting another baby, to the whole thing getting political because Donald Trump entered the chat, it was one impactful show and that cannot be denied.
The former US President has had an apparent rife with the Barbadian singer and even she has been vocal about her views on him. She never shied away from expressing her dislike for him and he returned the favor now that he got a chance. The 76-year-old called it the worst performance in Super Bowl history. But he is hardly the only one who has thrashed RiRi’s Halftime performance.
WWE fighter Dutch Mantel dissed Rihanna for her Superbowl performance
WWE fighter Dutch Mantel is not a Rihanna stan, and his latest tweets stand testament to that fact. In one of his post-Super Bowl tweets, he lauded the match that the Chiefs won on Sunday Night. The tweet read,
“Damn good @SuperBowl. The @nfl needed this after @rhianna average performance pregnant or not.”
That’s quite some shade to throw at someone who has the level of fame that the Umbrella singer enjoys. However, this was not the only tweet the 73-year-old posted to trash-talk the Diamonds singer. His second tweet was even more elaborate, and it read,
“Rihanna? Not a huge fan but actually expected more from the SuperBowl halftime show. Prince, Michael Jackson, Katy Perry, Paul McCartney… were better. Rihanna got hyped so much but under delivered. Comments?”
He followed it up with another insensitive subpar joke, which read,
“I thought she was pregnant and I said she under delivered? It would’ve made it 200% better if she had delivered a her baby 100 ft in the air. Top that @USFL.”
Rihanna hasn’t responded to any of these comments yet, however, one of her fans did point out that his hatred could stem from political reasons, tweeting,
“Attacking Rihanna cause she criticized Trump is an interesting flex.. thought she did damn well”
New album or not, it seems like the Rihanna Navy will hold the fort in any case.
