They were actually there to reminisce about their filming experiences on the show, and Blunt’s witty response left Downey Jr. at a loss for words. It shows nothing but the undeniable chemistry between these two Hollywood stars.

The interview on Jimmy Kimmel Live took a hilarious turn when Jimmy Kimmel started teasing Robert Downey Jr. The host brought up a moment from a promotional conference where Downey Jr. jokingly stated that Emily Blunt couldn’t speak because she had been on all sorts of substances. The host continued to rib the Iron Man actor, saying:
You said ignore Emily , she ate a bad clam last night at 1 Q&A. Ignore Emily, she’s tripping on mushrooms at another. Go easy on Emily tonight, she’s has a few margaritas. Emily’s peeking on a weed gummy right now. And ignore Emily she’s wearing a Z pack of rash cream.
Blunt, known for her sharp wit, didn’t let Kimmel’s comments slide. She quickly delivered a clever comeback that had the audience laughing hysterically. The actress said:
No here’s a thing, and this is gonna be such low hanging fruit cause I’ve lost my voice, I sound like I’ve been raving I could be on a weed gummy for all we know.
Then, the movie mogul asked, “how did you lose your voice?”
To this, Blunt replied, “Because I was screaming at you to take a Z pack for your chlamydia that you have going on!”
That left the 59-year-old stunned and speechless for a moment. But it was all in good fun, as she hugged him to smooth things over. The mom of two later explained that he had a habit of doing the same thing during every important Q&A about the movie.

During an interview on Variety‘s Actors on Actors, she warned him about director’s tendency to be sparing with compliments. Blunt said:
You’re going to just love it so much and the screws are going to get tightened on you so much and it’s just the most focused, wonderful, unchaotic set. But you’re going to get some very British compliments.
The British star recalled, “There will be no smoke blown up your ass and you’re going to have to be alright with it,” explaining the director’s more low-key way of showing approval.
