The cheeky couple Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds are known for trolling each other or poking fun at each other on several occasions, but mainly on each other’s birthday. The fans adore their innocence and fun relationship, but recently a sweet tribute from Reynolds marking Lively’s 36th birthday has left fans surprised.
The Deadpool actor took to his social media and posted a couple of pictures of the actress with a cheeky caption that read,
“The only thing irrevocably mine in the world is the love and appreciation and awe I feel for this person. Witnessing her life is something I couldn’t take for granted if I tried. And believe me, I try. Happy Birthday, Blake Lively. You hung the damn moon.”
The pictures Reynolds posted included one single picture of the actress in a black lace romper showcasing her gorgeous legs and the rest of the pictures included selfies of the couple at different times and places. David Beckham and Michael B. Jordan also commented on the post wishing the actress a very happy birthday.
Last year, the actor for his wife’s birthday shared something similar, including a carousel of pictures of her with the caption, “Happy Birthday, Blake Lively. You’re spectacular. I’m not sure if you were born or invented. Also, thank you for urging me to leave the house every now and again.”
Ryan Reynolds gives insight into a fairy tale romance with Blake Lively
During an appearance on an episode of the 2021 SmartLess podcast, the actor was asked about how his fairytale romance with his wife had come into play, to which he said at the time,
“I met Blake on the darkest crease in the anus of the universe called ‘Green Lantern’. We were friends and buddies, and about a year and a half later, we went on a double date but we were dating separate people. Next thing you know, she was going to Boston. I was going to Boston and I said, ‘Well, I’ll ride with you.’ We got on the train and we rode together.”
Reynolds admitted that he was just begging the actress to sleep with him, adding that a week later he said to her that they should buy a house together and they explained that he had a feeling that they were meant to be and it almost felt like one of those silly moments out of a fairytale.
Blake Lively praised Ryan Reynolds for being a dedicated family man
The actress back in November 2022 had appeared alongside Ryenolds’ mother, Tammy, and their daughters at the 36th Annual American Cinematheque Award Los Angeles, where the actor was presented with an award.
Blake Lively appreciated the actor for being dedicated to their family in her speech,
“This man, has contributed so much to the world’s most international happiness with his art, his heart, his philanthropy, his humor, his integrity, his unmatched work ethic, his self-deprecating levity, his hard-earned depths in his scripts”
Lively continued to say that now she is his home, and their kids are his home, and just like that 19-year-old boy who used to commute home to Canada, Reynolds races home, whether it’s from across the globe or a meeting across the street. He is hard-wired to get home.
The actress, however, added that the actor would show up with mud, fake blood, real blood, prosthetic scars, superhero suits, shoes, or clown makeup, but he is always home. She lastly added,
“He is able to somehow be everything to everyone, all at once. He is the most present person you will ever meet. And yes, he creates magic in his work, but man, oh man, does he create magic in his real life.”
Reynolds teared up listening to his wife and said that she is the greatest ghostwriter in Hollywood history who had authored him into the moment and added that he knows that ultimately they are all just a bunch of screaming meat suits clinging to a rock, hurling through space. He lastly added that if there is one thing he is certain of, none of the people who are in control of one’s destiny, but Blake Lively is.
