Ben Affleck, the former Batman Star Is Open To Working With Kevin Smith Again!
In a recent interview, Ben Affleck, the former Batman star revealed that he would be open to working with Kevin Smith again. Despite the past comments made by the Jay and Silent Bob Reboot director, Ben is ready to start a fresh journey.
We know that Ben starred in many Kevin Smith movies way before he landed the role of Batman. They have worked together on movies like Mallrats, Chasing Amy, Dogma, Jay & Silent Bob Strike Back, and Clerks II. We haven’t seen this duo in any collaboration since 2006. When Ben Affleck was cast as the Batman, Kevin Smith did share his excitement.

Ben and Kevin’s Current Relationship
However, Kevin Smith and Ben Affleck don’t have a close relationship anymore. This might be because of the stories he’s shared in the past. Recently while speaking with Collider, Ben Affleck revealed he would be open to working with Kevin Smith again and shared which role he would prefer to reprise:

“Your guess is a good as mine. I haven’t been asked to make an appearance but you never know, there’s still time. We’ll see. I think if it was up to me, I would rather do Holden than Shannon, but I would defer to Kevin.”

Meanwhile, plot details for The Batman are currently under wraps. Matt Reeves is currently looking to cast a younger Bruce Wayne to replace Ben Affleck and the film will include multiple villains. He also confirmed that it will not be directly based on Frank Miller’s Year One comic. It will use the Dark Knight’s detective skills to a greater extent than previous DC Films.
