There were quite some larger-than-life characters who shared the screen together in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. From the industry-leading academics to the mad scientist, all were quite liberated to do their part the best. Much like its comic-book version, Raimi’s films tried to deliver a glimpse of a universe where surreal things were also possible. But despite their phenomenon intelligence, many characters failed to live that long on screen. However, it was their charisma and intelligence that left every other viewer to imagine how appealing the character was.

With that said, these are the best Spider-Man characters, ranked as per their intelligence (from Sam Raimi’s trilogy) –

Much like any other industry giant, Norman Osborn was quite a bad break and the character was really away from getting any psychopathic breakdown. As a result, he went on a journey murdering numerous members of the board who tried to wrong him. Before living these kinds of days, Norman was indeed a genius. That is perhaps why he managed to build Oscorp Industries right from scratch. It was his intelligence and scientific knowledge that allowed him to achieve all the success during his journey. His vision was to rival against Stark Industries.

Norman Osborn wasn’t the actual smartest man of the Oscorp Industries. However, it was Dr. Stromm who was the smartest amongst all. He is the only one who saw the threats that were associated with the goblin formula and knew that it’d be quite disastrous to inject it on mice. Despite this caution, Normal proceeded foolishly for the human trials. While Dr. Stromm managed to make a very appearance on screen, he got apparently killed while attempting to save Norman’s life. It was the Goblin formula responsible for his tragic death.

Dr. Connors

Dr. Connors got underused for criminal offenses throughout Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. However, it was believed that the character will get to play a bigger and larger-than-life role in the upcoming Marvel films. But it apparently never happened. Despite his mini appearances on screen, the character managed to establish himself as one of the most prominent experts in his field of study. In fact, Peter Parker once approached him so that he could gather an ample amount of information about the black alien symbiote. However, it got unseen in the film. But anyways, Dr. Connors, played by Dylan Baker, soon got transformed into the villainous Lizard who also appeared in The Amazing Spider-Man.

Otto Octavius

Dr. Otto Octavius is also popularly known as Doc Ock. With that said, he is perhaps a brilliant scientist who has performed experiments that no one could have ever done. As a result, he got equipped with four artificial intelligence-enabled mechanical arms that helped him become unparalleled. However, it was his undoing and arrogance that snatched his beloved wife and all the sanity he possessed. Soon, the artificial intelligence overpowered his mind and that is how the transformation got completed.

Peter Parker

There isn’t any doubt why Peter is the most intelligent one out of everyone in Sam Raimi’s Spider-Man trilogy. Despite his age and the fact that he is still a college-going kid, Peter Parker managed to display all his intelligence and mentality above that of his seniors. With that being said, Peter proved that he is perhaps a genius when he was facing Otto Octavius, irrespective of so many missteps he took along the way.
