Melissa Rauch got immense popularity for playing the role of Bernadette Rostenkowski-Wolowitz in the popular sitcom The Big Bang Theory. Due to her bossy character in the series, which appeared in 10 seasons out of 12, fans would be extremely delighted to have her back if the show were to revive. While many wonder about the reboot of the sitcom, the actress has not much hope for it, especially shortly.

The 42-year-old actress, Melissa Rauch in an interview with the Looper opened up about how The Big Bang Theory (TBBT) still is close to her heart. She is already a part of the Night Court series which is a revival of the major hit sitcom from 1982-1992. This 2023 sitcom is a big project with the actress portraying the role of Judge Abby Stone in the series.

Having John Larroquette, the original star of the Night Court back in the 2023 sitcom has led the actress to think about the possible revival of The Big Bang Theory. Though she would never say no to returning to the series, but only if it gets rebooted in the later future.

“I could see that happening,” adding, “A revival right now — I’d be like, ‘Nah, I don’t think so.’ But 30 years from now, if someone came knocking on my door the way I did to John — never say never.”

She shared that this thought stemmed when she was talking to Larroquette about his return to the reboot of the old sitcom.

“We had those conversations because I wanted him to know that the same way I would want someone to protect the legacy of what I had done with this group of friends years ago, I would want that done for him as well. But at this moment, I’d be like, ‘Ah, no, [“The Big Bang Theory”] ended so perfectly.’ I would never want to tamper with that.”

The 12-season sitcom finale was considered the better ending for the show which even received quite high ratings. However, the revival as per her is down the line!

The actress not only got the idea of the series reboot while working on the Night Court‘s revival, but she was also reunited with producer and showrunner Steve Molaro and Steve Holland while shooting the pilot.

Opening up about her meetup with them, she shared, “It was really sweet.”

She shared getting overwhelmed with happiness as she saw them, however, she controlled herself not to cry as it would have ruined her makeup.

Stating that she hadn’t seen the Steves since early 2020, she shared,

“I can’t even look at you because I’m going to burst into tears and my poor makeup artist will have to redo everything.”

From her emotions, it is quite clear that she loved working with them. While there is no information about the already-ended series, Raunch is currently starring in The Night Court which is already renewed for a second season.

The Night Court is premiering on NBC.
