Black Widow Star Scarlett Johansson Reveals Tricks to Battle Mental Health Struggles That Worked For Her
Dedication to physical wellness and mental health is not only evident to Scarlett Johansson’s on-screen character but in her actual life as well. The Avengers star in an interview enunciated tricks to battle mental health.
While promoting her skincare brand, actress Scarlett Johansson opened up about her regimen. The Black Widow star emphasized tips and tricks to deal with mental health struggles and how she copes with such issues.
Scarlett Johansson Shares Effective Mental Health Strategies
Talking about mental health struggles publically and addressing the challenges faced by individuals has been normalized especially among celebrities who once battled a similar situation. Scarlett Johansson, ironically known as Black Widow revealed the strategies to grapple with mental health issues. During an interview with the Stylist, the Lost in Translation star revealed what she incorporates in her workout for her well-being and to maintain mental resilience. Scarlett Johansson said:
“For me, wellness is a huge part of my mental wellbeing. I try and do some sort of exercise around four days a week if I can. I’ve been doing Pilates for the last eight years or so, and I’ve found it to be amazing.”
The actress explained that she has been practicing Pilates for a long which she ignored at an early age, but as she’s aging, Johansson has included it with weightlifting again, and this workout turned out to be instrumental for the actress. She added:
“I used to mostly just lift weights, but at some point, my recovery wasn’t what it used to be, you know. I think it’s just getting older and having my body change – but Pilates really helped me feel better in all ways.”
Scarlett Johansson shared that incorporating Pilates in her workout which she does four days a week has been beneficial and helps her to actively engage in weightlifting which accentuates the importance of her physical exercise in mental health.
Scarlett Johansson Opens Up About Battling With Painful Memories
Scarlett Johansson in the same interview revealed that her skin just turned a new leaf as she struggled with acne for a long. The Iron Man 2 star shared painful memories while dealing with acne at an early age. Johansson talked about a recent photo she saw and described how she used to struggle with acne then. The Island star said:
“I struggled with acne forever. My brother actually just showed me photos of myself at a family thing when I was probably 19 or 20, and my skin quality is completely different. When I saw that photo it just, you know, it brought everything back. All those painful memories. I just struggled with my skin for such a long time.”
The Marvel star compared her skin’s significant differences now and then. Johansson revealed that seeing those photos of her teen triggered painful memories associated with the skin problems she dealt with.
Although Scarlett Johansson is now a well-established and acclaimed celebrity who embraces a fanbase worldwide for her iconic role, faced numerous challenges as her career has been an uphill battle. However, the actress now seems to be content with all she has achieved so far and is set to ensure her brand’s victory.
