- Journalist Kjersti Flaa has shared a video clip of her boyfriend Magnus Sundholm's uncomfortable interview with Lively.
- Flaa has claimed that she had no idea about the ongoing controversy when she uploaded her viral interview with the actress.
Blake Lively might not be able to recover from the kind of controversy she has gotten embroiled into. The past couple of months have not been particularly nice for the actress. She has suffered blow after blow in light of the rumors surrounding her ongoing feud with It Ends with Us co-star Justin Baldoni.
In addition to the rumors, her press run for the movie also did not bode with some fans. It seemed to veer away from the serious matter that the movie addresses. In the midst of it all, a journalist Kjersti Flaa uploading a video of her uncomfortable interview with The Shallows actress only made things worse.
Flaa was doubted to have intentionally shared the video while the controversy was still at its peak. The award-winning journalist has not only shared a testimonial with her boyfriend that it was coincidental, but also shared yet another video clip that sees Lively making a movie interview about something personal.
Blake Lively Promoted Her Husband’s Alcohol Brand During a Movie Interview
Hollywood can sometimes be a tricky place to be. There is a lot more that goes behind the scenes than what the audience get to see. Sometimes, the actors that the masses adore and assume that they know turn out to be people that are not very nice. In the recent months, people saw a side of Blake Lively that no one even imagined could exist.
Kjersti Flaa shared an eight-year-old interview on YouTube. In the video titled The Blake Lively interview that made me want to quit my job, she is interviewing Lively and Parker Posey for 2016’s Cafe Society. A month later, she has now shared a clip of her boyfriend and fellow entertainment reporter Magnus Sundholm doing a just as daunting interview with Lively (via YouTube).
In the video, the couple claimed that Lively “took almost half of the interview” to promote Reynolds’ alcohol brand Aviation American Gin. She even insisted that Sundholm drink the alcoholic beverage, which he reluctantly did. The reporter claimed that it was not the most pleasant experience for him because he was there to promote the movie A Simple Favor, and ended up drinking gin before breakfast.
It began with Lively appearing with her husband Ryan Reynolds and his best friend Hugh Jackman on the red carpet for the It Ends with Us premiere. This sparked rumors that something was not right since her co-star Justin Baldoni was not by her side. One thing led to another, and it has since been a whole controversy.
Kjersti Flaa on Why She Shared Her Interview with Blake Lively
Lively and Reynolds have been fortunately blessed with four children. The former was pregnant when she appeared for the interview with her co-star Posey. Flaa congratulated the actress on her baby, saying “Congrats on your little bump!” The actress sarcastically retorted with the same comment.
It would have been funny if not for the fact that Flaa was neither pregnant nor could ever get pregnant, which she revealed to DailyMail.com in an interview. The journalist was also accused of sharing the interview intentionally during this controversy.
However, Flaa insisted that it was not the truth because she was not aware of the controversy. She told TMZ as much in an interview.
It’s kind of a coincidence that it happened now, because I was contacted last week by a reporter that said, he’s just done a press junket and his interview was confiscated afterwards. He asked me, ‘Have you ever experienced anything like that?’ And I said, ‘No, I’ve never got my tape confiscated, but of course I’ve had very unpleasant experiences’.
Unfortunately, that interview with Posey and Lively happened to be one of those unpleasant experiences. Flaa claimed that this was the reason she shared the interview now, and not because she wanted to ride on the back of the ongoing controversy.
