On Thursday, the CEO of SpaceX, Elon Musk claimed that he has acquired Twitter specifying that his recent purchase will “help humanity” as he will take over the social media platform. In a post to Twitter advertisers, he explained, “I didn’t do it to make more money.”

He mentioned,

“Twitter obviously cannot become a free-for-all hellscape, where anything can be said with no consequences! In addition to adhering to the laws of the land, our platform must be warm and welcoming to all.”

This announcement came after months of suspense about whether he will complete the $44 billion takeover of Twitter or risk going to trial. However, the Tesla CEO has yet to seal the deal before its deadline of 5 pm on Friday.

When he initially released the plans to buy the platform, he mentioned that he wanted to clear spam accounts on the platform for free speech.

But his plans paused when he cited concerns over the number of fake accounts on the platform which turned out to be greater than Twitter initially claimed. Twitter denied the accusations and eventually filed a lawsuit to hold him to the deal. The billionaire decided to take over on the condition that legal proceedings were paused.

Though the tech mogul has shared his plans regarding the platform’s takeover, fans are claiming that he might use it to help himself rather than “humanity.” It’s no secret that Musk previously dated Amber Heard, however, their dating history was much more complicated than it initially looked.

His involvement with Heard had much more drama including the latter’s s*x parties she used to allegedly organize. According to the reports, the Tesla founder was a regular in the gatherings and reportedly was involved in the wild activities that took place there. Not to mention, his former girlfriend had reportedly managed to record some tapes in which he was in a tipsy condition.

Not just that, his dark past with the infamous actress was revealed to the world once Heard’s defamation trial with Johnny Depp started this year in April. The trial eventually disclosed his past with Heard and her alleged former girlfriend Cara Delevingne. For the unversed, an insider admitted catching visitors at night to the Aquaman star’s house and confirmed her three-way affair with Musk and Delevingne.

This is what fans are concerned about as Musk would be most likely to be in profit if he goes through with the purchase. He will manage to get rid of all the information regarding his involvement with Heard.

For the unversed, Heard and her ex-husband were involved in a defamation lawsuit that started when the 36-year-old actress wrote a 2018 op-ed piece in The Washington Post, claiming herself to be a victim of domestic abuse.

Though she didn’t mention her ex-husband by his name, Depp was majorly affected by that piece. He then filed a defamation case against her, demanding damages worth $50 million for ruining his reputation, while she countersued him for $100 million.

The court asked Heard to pay $10.35m as damages to her ex-husband while she was awarded $2m for her counter-claims. Though she asked the judge to toss the jury’s verdict claiming that the verdict was not supported by evidence, it was to no avail. Heard has opted for a re-appeal.
