Brad Pitt and His Ex-Wife Jennifer Aniston’s Passion Project Makes $300 Million After Major Business Deal
Brad Pitt and Jennifer Aniston were a star couple in the late 1990s however their romantic relationship ended in the early 2000s making them good friends for a long time. The duo had a joint venture named Plan B, a production company in 2001. Since their separation, the company was transferred to the former which has landed a great deal.
According to recent reports, the production company has been bought by a French media conglomerate Mediawan with Plan B selling in millions of dollars.
Plan B Entertainment, Brad Pitt’s Production House Reportedly Made $300 Million
The 58-year-old actor, Brad Pitt sold a majority stake of his production house, Plan B which he co-founded with his former wife, Jennifer Aniston to Mediawan, the pan-European media conglomerate.
The involved parties issued a press release on Friday announcing that they had entered into a “definite agreement.” Under the pact, the deal was closed reportedly more than $300 million. It was also stated that Plan B is also taking a stake in Mediawan.
The business deal “marks the deployment of Mediawan into the American market,” as per the press release stated by the French company.
Plan B has produced many movies and TV series over the past twenty years which includes The production company has helped made both movies and TV series over the past two decades, including Academy Award-winning films like The Departed, Twelve Years a Slave, and Moonlight.
It has also produced this year’s controversial film, Blonde, a fictionalized film on the life of Marilyn Monroe, and She Said, a drama film that detailed The New York Times’ investigation of sexual assault in Hollywood.
Brad Pitt Addressed The Recent Deal
The Bullet Train star in a recent appearance with Le Parisien newspaper shared, “Cinema is becoming international. Talents are emerging all over the world.”
“For our future projects, we have to look outside the United States,” he added. With the French media conglomerate, “we have the same conception of how to produce films and series.”
Not just Pitt, Mediawan CEO Pierre-Antoine Capton in a press release addressed that the deal is “an exceptional opportunity to be able to develop Mediawan alongside Plan B, the most beautiful independent production company in the US.”
Regarding the company, it was earlier reported that Jennifer Aniston was planning to sue her former partner for $100 million over entitlement rights for founding the company.
