Brad Pitt Reportedly “Looking ahead” to Warm up to Angelina Jolie Amid Ugly Custody Battle for Kids
Brad Pitt recently celebrated his 60th birthday, but noticeably absent were his six children shared with ex-wife Angelina Jolie. Their ongoing custody battle has strained Pitt’s relationships with the kids, but according to reports, he remains hopeful about mending fences for the sake of the family.
Is Brad Pitt Being Kept From His Kids?
According to The Things, sources claim Pitt’s children skipped his birthday celebrations, underscoring how fractured things have become. Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie separated in 2016, and have been locked in a contentious legal fight over custody ever since. There are allegations that Jolie is actively trying to alienate the kids from their father.
Last year, Pitt accused Jolie of attempting to “damage [his] relationship with the children and use family court to advance her own agenda.” He criticized her supposed efforts to “dragonize” him by painting him as an absentee dad. Jolie has denied such claims, but Pitt believes the custody battle is taking an emotional toll on the children.
How Does Angelina Jolie See The Custody Situation?
For her part, Jolie has argued it’s “harmful” for the children to be forced into a joint custody arrangement against their wishes. Reports emerged that the kids wanted to testify against Pitt in court over claims of abuse, which Jolie argues should be heard. She has shown no signs of backing down from the custody fight.
Jolie seemingly has primary physical custody of the kids, who range from age 14 to 21. Pitt has reportedly struggled to see them amid legal constraints. Sources say missing his birthday was particularly hurtful given it was a major milestone. But Pitt is still making efforts to reconnect.

What Steps Is Brad Pitt Taking To Reconcile?
Despite the tensions, Pitt is said to be “looking ahead” with hopes of soothing ill feelings. Insiders say he wants to “work on their strained relationships” by refocusing on the kids’ wellbeing. Part of this involves extending an “olive branch” to Jolie.
Though their own relationship appears unsalvageable, Pitt hopes they can find enough common ground to co-parent amicably. Sources say his “goal is to have his kids see him and Angie get along” and prioritize being a family again. It seems Pitt is willing to take gradual steps to rebuild trust after the ugliness of their split.
Interestingly, there are also reports Pitt is open to having more children with his girlfriend Ines de Ramon. Though he’s entering his 60s, sources claim Pitt told Ines he wants to “create new memories” by starting another family.
