Bridgerton Season 3 Made the Huge Mistake of Cutting Out What Could Have Been the Steamiest Scene in the Show’s History
American historical fiction romance television series, Bridgerton’s first season premiered in 2020. Created by Chris Van Dusen, it is based on Julia Quinn’s best-selling book series of the same name. The show has gained the love of both the audiences and critics. Although it is undoubtedly a fans’ favorite, one of its deleted scenes from the third season could have offered a little more to the viewers.
The period drama has probably made a mistake by restricting the steamiest scene in its history from making the cut. Martins Imhangbe revealed that Will and Alice’s special scene would have added more beauty to the show if it was given the green flag.
One of the Steamiest Scenes Shot for Bridgerton Didn’t Make It to the Final Cut
Imhangbe revealed that the creators have cut one of his intimate scenes with co-star Emma Naomi from the third installment. Although the focus of this season was primarily on Penelope Featherington (Nicola Coughlan) and Colin Bridgerton (Luke Newton), a very steamy scene between Will (Imhangbe) and Alice (Naomi) had the potential to become the best sensual scene in the show’s history.
However, the scene couldn’t make it to the final cut, about which Imhangbe seems a little upset. Imhangbe told Digital Spy:
I think that there’s something in the show that might be coming down the line, but it would be good to see a married couple hold that passionate space too.
The actor believes that he is unaware of the reason why his intimate scene with Noami didn’t make it to the final cut. He believes that his chemistry with Naomi would have broken the myth that married couples don’t usually have “fiery s*x” because according to him, Will and Alice are like twin flames.
Martins Imhangbe Revealed The Show’s Approach Towards Intimate Scenes
Although the American period drama didn’t include the intimate scene between Will and Alice in the latest installment, Imhangbe is still quite impressed by how the show approaches such scenes. The British-Nigerian actor has praised the unbiased approach of Bridgerton towards the intimate scenes.
There’s no stigma and shame between the people who are having s*x. It’s just very equal footing. [..] That they’re twin flames, that there’s a sense of them doing it together as opposed to like, ‘Oh, I’m getting my fix or whatever’. So I love that about the show, that it’s not just one side. It’s very, very mutual.
Imhangbe did not hold back his praise for the show treating both parties fairly. The third season of the show has reached its conclusion and fans seem to be quite satisfied by it. Hopefully, fans will get to witness the intimate scene between Will and Alice in the fourth season.
Bridgerton is available for streaming on Netflix.
