Despite being one of the most anticipated movies of 2023 from the house of Marvel Cinematic Universe, Brie Larson led-The Marvels’ budget is way too low in comparison to the rest of the Marvel projects. During an interview with a reputed media outlet, director Nia DeCosta spoke about the movie and its budget.

Brie Larson’s The Marvel’s Budget Is Lesser Than Paul Rudd’s Ant-Man 3

The budget of Brie Larson’s The Marvels has been revealed and there is a strong possibility that it might be one of the cheapest projects in the history of the Marvel Cinematic Universe. During an exclusive interview with the media outlet Vanity Fair, director Nia DeCosta spoke about her upcoming movie.

As reported by the media outlet the budget of The Marvels is approximately around $130 million which is less in comparison to the first installment of the Captain Marvel. The budget of Captain Marvel was between $150 million to $175 million. The $130 million budget constraint has brought The Marvels to the list of Paul Rudd’s 2015 released Ant-Man.

The first installment of the Ant-Man series holds the record of by far being the cheapest movie from the house of Marvel Cinematic Universe. Statistically, the budget for the upcoming Captain America installment is less than the 2023 released Ant-Man & The Wasp: Quantumania which was made on a budget of around $200 Million.

However, it is unclear at this time why the budget of The Marvels is so low. It has been speculated that maybe the weak box-office performance of Thor: Love And Thunder and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania, the superhero franchise has taken strict measures with respect to the budget of the projects.

Brie Larson Is All Praises For Her The Marvels Co-star Iman Vellani

During an interview with the media outlet Entertainment Weekly, Marvel star Brie Larson spoke about her upcoming movie and her co-star Iman Vellani. She felt that the Miss Marvel star had immense potential as an actor. She said-

“Iman is the future. She is the perfect Ms. Marvel and the most incredible person and castmate. I’m so excited for her success and I’m so excited to see what she will do with her life because she can do anything she wants. She’s one of my favorite people on this earth.”

While talking about how Miss Marvel inspired her to play the character of Captain Marvel, Brie Larson said-

“A huge part of why I wanted to play Captain Marvel was because of Ms. Marvel and what that meant. To see that character realized by such a brilliant human with so much potential is just a really exciting thing.”

According to The Glass Castle actor, her co-stars are way more talented than her. She pointed out-

“I feel like the big joke is always that you’re being schooled by people younger than you. So I’m sure there are ways that I’ve been able to be of service to her, but also at the same time, she teaches me so much every single day. I’m just grateful for her friendship.”

In addition to Iman Vellani’s Kamala Khan aka Miss Marvel, Brie Larson’s Carol Denvers aka Captain Marvel, actor Teyonah Parris would also be seen as Monica Rambeau aka Photon in The Marvels.

Nia DaCosta directed The Marvels is slated for release on November 10, 2023.
