On 5th July Britney Spears spotted Wembanyama at a celebrity hotspot area inside the Aria Resort & Casino in Las Vegas.
Spears reportedly approached Wembanyama to ask for a picture and congratulate him on his success. However, his security guard, Damian Smith reportedly pushed her away firmly and even slapped her in the face, leaving Spears stunned and upset. She apparently fell to the ground as a result of the slap, and the glasses on her face reportedly flew off.
The NBA player also claimed that Spears had grabbed him from behind, alarming his security guard. But the most current video of the incident that has surfaced presents a different story.
What is revealed by the recently released video of the incident?
The pop star, Britney Spears can be seen briefly touching Victor Wembanyama in a recently released video of the incident before being pushed away by his security guard. So contrary to Wembanyama’s claim that she grabbed the NBA star from behind alarming his security guard was completely untrue. She barely even touched him.
In the video, which was recorded on July 5, 2023, Spears can be seen walking up to Wembanyama and giving him a shoulder tap. Later, Spears said that all she wanted to do was take a photo with him to express her admiration for his accomplishment. The security guard, Damian Smith suddenly shows up there and pushes Spears’ hand away, and in the process, his hand touches her face, which makes her stunned and her glasses fall off from the force.
As Spears had said, the footage does not show Smith slapping her in the face. Additionally, contrary to what Spears said, it does not show her being knocked to the ground either. The footage does, however, demonstrate that Smith went overboard in removing Spears away from Wembanyama.
