Britney Spears suffered for several years during her conservatorship period. Even though she was liberated from it, the battles in her life are not over yet. After fighting for 13 years for her freedom, Spears now has to fight for the custody of her sons.

It has been reported that Spears’ ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has given her the ultimatum to acknowledge his request to relocate their sons permanently to Hawaii. Spears, who hasn’t seen her kids for over a year, might have to part ways with them now.

Britney Spears might get dragged to court

Britney Spears’ struggles in life seem to have no end. After finally attaining control over her life, Spears has been brought into a situation where she has to make some tough decisions. The pop star’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, has issued an order to take move their children to Hawaii permanently.

Spears shares two sons with Federline, who stays with him after Spears and Federline parted ways. Federline’s lawyer has informed that Federline has sole custody of their kids, although Spears has visitation rights. It has been reported that Federline’s lawyer, Mark Vincent Kaplan, has requested several times that Spears’ lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, respond to their request by sending a letter or an email that states that Britney Spears has no problem with the move. But they haven’t received any response from Spears’ end.

Kaplan explained that Federline wants the procedure to finish as soon as possible as he has to shift to Hawaii along with his family, which includes his sons and his current wife, Victoria Prince. The lawyer further revealed that Prince has a job offer in the sports department of a local university and has to commit. Due to this, Federline is in a hurry to relocate.

Spears’ delay in responding has annoyed Federline; hence, he has given an ultimatum to the Hold Me Closer hitmaker to approve the request otherwise he will take the matter to court. However, Federline won’t have any issue taking their sons to Hawaii even if the 41-year-old singer doesn’t respond to his request, as he has 100% legal custody and de facto physical custody of their sons.

It has been over a year since Britney Spears met her kids. Her relationship with her sons, Jayden, and Sean Preston, is often put into question, as both of her sons rarely take an interest in their mother’s life. Previously, during an interview with a media outlet, Spears younger son shared his dismay at not being able to get his mother’s attention. He said,

“I think Mom has struggled giving us both attention and showing us equal love; I don’t think she showed enough to Preston, and I feel really bad for that.”

Spears’ conservatorship has indeed affected her relationships with her loved ones. Spears’ sons also did not attend her wedding when she married Sam Asghari. Their father, Federline, explained that the kids weren’t ready to see Spears.
