During promoting Oppenheimer, Matt Damon, while playing a game with co-star Emily Blunt, revealed he had a difficult time kissing Scarlett Johansson for a scene in their 2011 film.
Matt Damon went through hell to kiss Scarlett Johansson
Scarlett Johansson is one of the most elegant actors in the industry. She has been part of many successful movies. Johansson is renowned for being part of Marvel. Fans are mesmerized by her beauty and acting skills. However, Matt Damon had a very different experience working with the Marvel star.
While promoting his film Oppenheimer, Damon and Emily Blunt played a game for LadBible where they had to say whether they agreed or disagreed with a statement.
When the actors were asked to respond to the question, “You should tell someone if they have bad breath,” the subject of kissing co-stars came up. Both actors agreed with the assertion and admitted that they would ask someone if they wanted some gum rather than tell them they had bad breath.
The 52-year-old then confessed he had to go to hell for kissing Johansson after she had eaten an onion sandwich. The Martian actor said, “Can you image how horrible that was for me?”
He further revealed they were shooting for the 2011 film We Bought A Zoo. The actor said,
“We went to lunch and she and I both thought it was over. She ate an onion sandwich for lunch and she came in and Cameron Crowe had set the camera up and it was a tight shot of the kiss, and she goes, ‘Oh shit, I literally just had an onion sandwich!”
Matt Damon added he kept making fun of Her actress for having onion breath for the rest of the scene of their comedy film.
Matt Damon almost took a break from acting before Oppenheimer
Matt Damon has been a busy man for the last couple of years. The 52-year-old actor liked to stay busy by taking back-to-back projects. The actor is part of Christopher Nolan’s sci-fi epic drama Oppenheimer. He plays General Leslie Groves in his historical drama-thriller.
The Ford V Ferrari actor, in an interview, confessed he was considering taking a break from acting before getting a call from Nolan. Damon revealed he promised his wife during couple’s therapy that he will take time off. However, Nolan called the actor and cast him to play General Leslie Groves in his highly anticipated film.
Groves played a pivotal role in the Manhattan Project. He was a lieutenant general in the US Army, collaborated with Oppenheimer on the development of the lethal weapon, and pushed the military aspect of the operation forward.
Oppenheimer is available in theaters worldwide.
