Celebs Who Really Hate Their Parents (& Got Into Messy Fights With Them)
Families are sometimes a pain, and no one chooses their family. Some have problems with their parents, but surely there’s someone you can talk to about it or at least joke about it. In the end, that’s what we have friends for. Including celebrity who often share posts and pictures of their dysfunctional families too. Hollywood is full of dysfunctional families. But some celebrities give us hope in terms of being able to settle our own differences with our parents despite having different views on things. Here are just a few of those celebrities with terrible relationships with their parents –
Justin Bieber
Bieber’s mom is influential in his career. His rise to fame created tension between him and his mom. After getting arrested for “drag-racing” while under the influence in 2015, Bieber’s sweet young songbird status began to change. And subsequently so did his relationship with his mother. However, as Bieber began to get out of the shenanigans he was getting himself into, he began to patch things up with his mother and now they are on better terms. What about his dad? He was estranged from him for most of his early life. But according to several sources, Bieber has given his father a permanent place in his entourage in recent years.
Selena Gomez
Gomez will forever be remembered and adored by her young fans for her cheerful attitude. She is a true celebrity who not only earns people’s respect by making friendly appearances. She also goes out of the way to help others as she often shares talents that can be useful as well. Due to her mother’s control, they were constantly at odds with each other. But after Gomez was able to leave her mother behind, she began reuniting with plenty of friends from years past. And this happened to include friends from high school who had once been outcasts together. The reason behind this was the fact that most kids hated Gomez for being so popular. Now all these years later these people were suddenly reintroduced into Gomez’s life proving that you don’t have to watch your back around every corner to live a happy life in Hollywood.
Beyonce
When a person has achieved such success as Beyonce, who can blame her for having problems with relationships? Many of Bey’s fans thought the famous singer was talking about her marriage to Jay Z on her “Lemonade” album, but many others speculated that she was actually referring to her father and his behaviour towards her mother. After years of silence, Mathew mustered up the courage to throw some shade in late 2018 by stating that his daughter would have never been so successful if she wasn’t light-skinned for a black performer.
Kim Kardashian
It’s no secret that Kim Kardashian West and her stepmother Caitlyn Jenner have had their issues. In 2017, Jenner’s autobiography revealed details of many personal family moments as well as events surrounding the time of OJ Simpson’s murder trial. Jenner recounted an account from when the Kardashians were still young and their father Robert Kardashian (Kardashians’ dad) was a lawyer who chose to defend OJ in court despite knowing he was guilty, concerning all of them, especially Kim.
Angelina Jolie
There’s a reason why this former father-and-daughter duo was chosen to headline this list. Rather than James and Randy Quaid, or Chuck and Daniel Baldwin. Unlike many of their counterparts mentioned earlier on, Jolie and her dad Jon Voight just have the misfortune of being so famous that it’s hard for them to have a private life. As Angelina says, “We have all gotten to know each other through grandchildren now.” This led to their newfound state of agreement regarding their relationship as father and daughter.
