As the actors and writers of Hollywood continue to be on the picket line an incredible show of strength and unwavering support for fellow members is brewing. As many actors and casts from different old and new TV shows have come to ground zero to support the ongoing strike, the cast of Parks and Recreation has not been left behind. The reunion of the Parks and Rec cast was seen on the picket line as they came in support of the ongoing strike. Although Chris Pratt who played the role of Andy Dwyer in Parks and Rec missed this reunion. However, the actor shared his regret of missing the reunion with a post on Instagram.

Chris Pratt Regrets missing out on Parks and Rec’s reunion

Chris Pratt has taken to Instagram to express his regrets for missing out on the reunion of the Parks and Rec’s cast on the picket line. Although Pratt’s absence has not stopped him from voicing his support for the ongoing strike. In the same Instagram post where Pratt penned a note for the reunion, he also extended his support to the entire SAG AFTRA community.

The role of Chris Pratt in Parks and Rec played a very important role in setting a base for him and his acting career in Hollywood. His performance as Ansy Dwyer helped him get the role in Marvel Cinematic Universe. As the cast of the entire Parks and Rec came down on the picket line along with the miniature horse Li’l Sebastian, the show is regaining attention.

A show of strength: Other actors who have come out in support of SAG AFTRA

In the last 63 years, it is the first that Hollywood has seen a shutdown as both the Screen Actor Guild and Writers Guild go on strike at the same time. Ever since 2nd May of 2023, all the screenwriters of Hollywood have been on strike which was further joined in by the actors on the 13th of July 2023. Many writers and actors have stopped working as they demand higher pay rates for their work from the well-established studio.

Many actors and writers have come out in support of this ongoing strike. Tatiana Malany, Greta Gerwig, Chris Pratt, Susan Sarandon, Jason Sudeikis, and many others have joined this ongoing strike in Hollywood. This ongoing strike has also affected the shooting of many big-ticket movies like Deadpool 3, Stranger Things, Gladiator series, Yellowjackets, Severance, and many others.
