Jurassic World: Dominion star Chris Pratt is a lot of director’s first choice now but there was a time when the actor had a hard time securing roles under his name. Recently he talked about his failed auditions in the Smartless podcast and how they affected the actor.
Chris Pratt explained how his failed auditions affected him
He talked about getting rejected and how it affected his acting skills. He said,

On the SmartLess podcast, Chris Pratt explained his terrible audition for Avatar
He recalled his audition for Avatar, he explained how he didn’t look after himself at the time and how the audition was dull from the beginning. He said,
“I remember that the role was written like ‘He comes in,’ it was maybe the Avatar. . .I just remember reading this character description and it was like ‘he walks in and he has the it factor.’ So I was feeling, you know, a little bit overweight, I wasn’t really taking care of myself physically, I was in a relationship where we were, you know, drinking a lot. I walked in, and I started sweating immediately, and it was a casting assistant. She just looked at me and she just pressed record and she just started doing her stuff while I was reading with her other casting assistant. I saw that there was literally nothing about my audition that was compelling at all.”
The actor will voice the leading role in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. animated feature film
Chris Pratt is currently slated to voice Mario in the upcoming Super Mario Bros. animated feature film. Fans were outraged as they disliked Chris Pratt’s casting as Mario. Illumination Entertainment founder and CEO Chris Meledandri defended the actor. He said, “Chris was cast because we felt he could give a great performance as Mario. And now that we’ve done about 15 recording sessions, and the movie is three-quarters done, I sit here and say that I love his performance as Mario.”
