The court has finally given the green signal for Brad Pitt and Angelina Jolie’s French Estate legal case to head to trial. Both parties are seemingly ready with their claims and allegations that can tilt the case in their favor.

The present claims have gone in a very negative light as Pitt and Jolie both try to get the upper hand with nasty allegations. Now, the actors will have a chance to make their case in court and present nothing but facts related to the same. Jolie’s attorney told US Weekly,

The court’s decision simply means that Mr. Pitt must now actually prove his case. In truth, Mr. Pitt rejected, in writing, the very contract he now claims he had with Angelina. Then, after she filed under seal evidence of domestic abuse, he pulled his offer to buy out Angelina’s share of Miraval unless she signed a revised NDA now expanded to cover Mr. Pitt’s personal conduct.

Château Miraval is worth over $500 million, being a substantial asset in the couple’s kitty. Whoever wins the case and gets to keep the estate will walk away from this case a very rich person.

The French Winery holds a special place in the couple’s hearts as they got married on the estate in 2014. The 1300-acre estate has been a place of relaxation and vacation for the family as the kids loved spending time there.

When Pitt acquired the estate, he owned 60% of the same while Jolie was an owner of 40% of the vineyard. However, when they got married in 2014, Pitt transferred another 10% of his shares to Jolie for merely a euro to profess his love for her. According to the court documents, Pitt and Jolie bought the vineyard for a family business.

Pitt and Jolie purchased the château as a home to share with their children and the vineyard as a family business. They agreed they would never sell their respective interests in Miraval without the other’s consent. The couple spent the holidays at Miraval with their children and were married there in 2014.

Pitt and Jolie have co-parented their four adopted children and twins who were born in 2009. The kids continue to live with Jolie as they seemingly don’t want anything to do with Pitt, especially after the abuse incident on the family jet.

The year has been a tumultuous one for the Pitt and Jolie family. After the abuse incident on the family plane, Jolie and the kids have remained at a distance from Pitt. Shiloh, their daughter, had even filed to remove Pitt from her last name. The situation between Pitt and the kids is dire as sources claim there is virtually no contact between the two parties.

Pitt is allowed to meet his kids as per their mutual understanding, but the elder kids including Maddox, Pax, Zahara, and Shiloh want nothing to do with Pitt. The Fight Club actor can meet his youngest twins but even that is impacted due to his tight schedule and commitments. Jolie has had sole physical custody of the kids since 2016 when she filed for divorce.

After being declared legally single, Pitt has even moved on with a new girlfriend but cannot get married to her as he is technically still hitched to Jolie. Their divorce has not been finalized yet due to the other ongoing legal cases and disputes.
