Colman Domingo along with some of Hollywood’s most impeccable actors, sat down to discuss various aspects of their acting career, including their passion for distinct arts apart from acting. The actors joined Off Script With The Hollywood Reporter, where the host asked them to reveal their talents and skills that would have earned them fame if not acting.

Replying to the question, Colman Domingo revealed that he would love to become a chef, considering his cooking skills. The Rise of the Beasts star said:

“I got into Johnson and Whales to be a chef. Actually that’s what I wanted to be. I really thought…I am a really really good cook. I feel like I am a good cook and I am a great good host.”

Listening to Domingo’s reply, Paul Giamatti who was sitting next to the Rustin star, humorously expressed his jealousy by saying “I want to be you. I want to be this guy.” What’s even more intriguing is that Colman Domingo didn’t stop there! He added:

 “I want to investigate architecture. I am just an architecture nerd, and I am always thinking maybe I go back to school and learn that, and do that when I am like 70.”

The Fear The Walking Dead star mentioned architecture as a “third act” he would prefer after becoming a chef. Following Domingo’s response, other actors like Mark Ruffalo and Andrew Scott also disclosed their talents.

This isn’t the first time when Colman Domingo mentioned his love for cooking. He has often mentioned finding peace in his kitchen and serving people with good food. The Euphoria star’s initial career was nothing less than an uphill battle. From being a bartender for 15 years to becoming an accomplished actor, Colman Domingo has come a long way. While talking to Currant Magazine, the Candyman actor said:

“I love being in kitchens and I love cooking, it’s where I‘m most peaceful. It’s a mediation. I’ve been obsessed with cookbooks.”

As the actor spends time traveling, he continues to explore different foods. The actor added:

“Whereas I’m usually traveling 50% of my year, I’m now traveling with my cooking: Japanese food, Northern Italian, all over. I’m bringing the world into my kitchen.”

Along with being a talented chef, Colman Domingo also finds interest in hosting. According to People, The Color Purple star enjoys hosting New Year’s Eve parties at his house, a culture he adapted from his parents.
