Concerning News For Marvel’s Boss Kevin Feige as ‘Secret Invasion’ Finale Breaks an Unwanted Record in MCU
Spoilers Ahead
Marvel Studios’ Secret Invasion, starring the legendary Samuel L. Jackson, is based on the adored Marvel Comics series of the same name. Loyal fans have been anticipating the adaptation in the hopes of seeing the captivating fusion of political plotting and deceit that made the original source material so cherished. As was promised before the show’s premiere, there are several twists and turns in it. Fans’ opinions have been split, with some praising the surprises and others being unsure about the show’s course.
But now that the much anticipated Secret Invasion‘s last episode is finally out, it has shattered a Marvel Cinematic Universe record. However, it is an unwanted record and is bad for the franchise.
The final Secret Invasion episode has the lowest ratings of any MCU show
Fans were let down by the highly anticipated Secret Invasion finale, which has since dropped to the lowest rating in MCU history on Rotten Tomatoes. Despite claims that the Disney+ series was a “crossover event” and an explosive “espionage thriller,” many Marvel Studios fans appear to have been disappointed. The plot’s seemingly infinite twists and turns were not enough to earn it favorable ratings and reviews.
The final episode has garnered unfavorable reviews from critics, earning a miserable 13% on Rotten Tomatoes. According to Marvel standards, it has the lowest rating of any Marvel Studios film on the review aggregator. Considering how poorly Secret Invasion‘s final episode performed, I think Marvel’s She-Hulk‘s episode 6’s 70% Rotten Tomatoes rating was a victory.
Even when all Marvel properties are taken into account, including the programs from the long-gone Marvel Television, Secret Invasion still comes in close to last. Its finale scored less than both seasons of Iron Fist and only marginally better than the harshly reviewed Inhumans television series.
Overall, Secret Invasion’s first season’s 58 percent Rotten score places it among the MCU’s bottom ranks, slightly above Eternals and Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania. For Kevin Feige, president of the Marvel studio, this is undoubtedly a very concerning development. [Spoiler Alert]
What happens to Nick Fury following Secret Invasion?
Nick Fury portrayed by Samuel L. Jackson, decides to change his life after successfully preventing a third world war and exposing the fraudulent Secret Invasion. He decides to go back to S.A.B.E.R., where he would concentrate all of his efforts on arranging a truce between the Kree and the Skrulls.
In order to carry on a long-standing commitment to give the Skrulls a new safe haven and protect them from the relentless attacks of Terran troops, Nick Fury made this move. Fury’s wife, Varra, played by Charlayne Woodard, also joins him in this quest. She travels with him to S.A.B.E.R. to represent the Skrulls at the Kree peace summit.
