Controversial Avatar 3 Title Debunked by Producer
The rise of social media and subsequent leaks and hacks often stir controversies. After all, the fun is in finding shocking twists when we go to watch the movie in theatres. However, the rumoured title of the next instalment of the Oscar-winning billion-dollar movie Avatar spread like wildfire.
Jon Landau Clarifies Avatar 3 Title Rumors
Before the release of Avatar: The Way of Water, James Cameron spoke to ET about the list of rumoured titles that was making the rounds. The title of the second movie was also on that list. Fans were intrigued to see the titles on that list and some were even disappointed to find the title The Seed Bearer on the list too.
“I can neither confirm nor deny, All right, here’s what I’ll tell ya. Those titles are among the titles that are in consideration. And no final decisions have been made yet.”
Recently, franchise producer Jon Landau confirmed that the third Avatar movie will not be titled The Seed Bearer. This news comes as a relief to many fans because the title sparked controversies across the fandom. An event was organized to support the release of Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora video game, Landau said,
“I’m qualified to tell you that that is not the title for Avatar 3. That’s what my Wikipedia page says? That is getting changed tonight!”
Jon Landau is an award-winning producer, best known for Titanic and the Avatar franchise, making billions in revenue. He was also a long-time manager and co-producer with Springsteen.

What Is Avatar 3 About?
Reportedly, we will see a new Na’vi clan from a volcanic locale on Pandora in the upcoming Avatar flick. The plot of the movie has not been disclosed yet as the details are still being worked upon. Considering the success of the franchise both commercially and critically, we expect the team to work extra hard on the upcoming movie and meet the high expectations everyone has with the film. Cameron has already shot a chunk of the movie Avatar 5 while many believe we will get a fifth installment too. He revealed so in an interview with Collider.
“I can’t tell you the details, but all I can say is that when I turned in the script for 2, the studio gave me three pages of notes. And when I turned in the script for 3, they gave me a page of notes, so I was getting better. When I turned in the script for 4, the studio executive, creative executive over the films wrote me an email that said, ‘Holy f***.’ And I said, ‘Well, where are the notes?’ And she said, ‘Those are the notes.’ Because it kind of goes nuts in a good way, right?”
