Ryan Reynolds Revived Wesley Snipes’ Blade Hope
Wesley Snipes has made a surprise return as Blade in Deadpool & Wolverine, the iconic vampire hunter from the 1998 film and its sequels. In an exclusive chat with Entertainment Weekly after a big reveal at Comic-Con, Snipes shared his shock at the news.
The 62-year-old never thought he would be back. After doing three Blade movies, he figured that was it. But then, out of the blue, Ryan Reynolds, his co-star from Blade: Trinity, texted him saying, “I want to talk to you.” Snipes was skeptical.
He didn’t think it would work out, but when Reynolds called him after 20 years, he decided to listen. The Deadpool actor shared the plan, and once everyone agreed, the project was a go.
Deadpool & Wolverine is still screening in theatres.
