Critics Claim Sylvester Stallone’s ‘The Expendables 4’ Is Awful But It’s Not the Worst Movie of The Rocky Actor
Sylvester Stallone, the acclaimed star of Hollywood is once again making news for his action-packed franchise Expendables. With the recent release of its fourth installment four days back, the movie has gained rather disappointing remarks from the critics. Many critics have claimed the movie to be nothing but a stock of the same old ideas. However, even with only a 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, Expendables 4 is not the worst movie on Stallone’s resume.
Sylvester Stallone’s The Expendables 4 Slammed by Critics
The Rocky and Rambo star Sylvester Stallone’s recent release The Expendables 4 has received disappointing results. After running in the theaters for almost four days, critics have declared the movie to be awful.
Despite being one of the most successful franchises of Stallone’s career the fourth installment of the movie has received only a 15% rating on Rotten Tomatoes. As reported by The Digital Fix, one of the critics Anthony McGlynn said of the movie “Something’s expendable here alright, but it’s not the characters.”
Another critic, Inverse’s Matt Donato, described the movie as “a bargain-brand imitation of the series it’s part of,” with “a regression in quality that’s achingly visible on screen between billowing fireballs and splattered noggins.”
However, despite all of these comments, luckily the movie is not the worst in Stallone’s career.
The Expendables 4 Is Not the Worst Movie on Sylvester Stallone’s Resume
Despite all the disappointing comments from the critics The Expendables 4 is not the worst movie on Stallone’s resume. Before this another movie by the actor, Escape Plan 2, received the worst ratings of all time.
Escape Plan 2 was an action-packed film that had actors like Dave Bautista and 50 Cent in the cast. The movie revolved around the concept of Ray Breslin (the character played by Stallone) along with his team trying to rescue a colleague kidnapped in one of the world’s most impenetrable prisons.
Even though the movie was full of action scenes it was rated as the worst movie of Stallone as it only got 7% on the Rotten Tomatoes.
