Marvel seems to be making its long-awaited comeback with not one, but several positive things happening this week. It began with the release of Deadpool & Wolverine, which fans had been eagerly looking forward to for months, and has moved on to thrilling updates during the San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC).

The announcement that Robert Downey Jr. is returning to the franchise as Doctor Doom seems to have stolen the thunder from the rest. Even so, new information about the upcoming Thunderbolts* movie has captivated the fans.

Florence Pugh and David Harbour are reprising their respective roles as Yelena Belova and Red Guardian from 2021’s Black Widow. During SDCC, the latter claimed that despite having reformed villains take center stage, there is a lightheartedness to the film (via PEOPLE).

There’s warmth and humor… but he’s a terrible narcissist. And she’s very dedicated to killing people.

That sure does sound like one bizarre combination. Hopefully, it will be an interesting watch and not just another black sheep in the herd the franchise has gathered over the past few years.

Further, she appreciated her castmates from the movie.

This is why we can’t stop laughing together, because we genuinely just had such a wonderful time with each other and we’ve loved working with one another.
