When it comes to power scaling in Attack on Titan, fans often forget that there are more than just titans in the anime. By the end of the story, we got to see some insane growth in every character that was lucky enough to survive the 4 seasons, which has affected power scaling a lot.

Let’s rank the top ten characters in the Attack on Titan anime, including both humans and titans alike, on the basis of how strong they are by the end of the final season and what their overall feats are against their enemies. Let’s dive in.

10. Erwin Smith Is the Most Fearless Warrior

Erwin Smith was the 13th commander of the Survey Corps. He was a very intelligent man who was widely respected and knew how to generate fear as well. He is also the one who practically tamed Levi into joining the Survey Corps, as we saw in the Attack on Titan: No Regrets OVA.

Considering how Erwin had no genetic advantage, unlike some characters in this ranking, and he didn’t even have a Titan, Erwin was surprisingly strong. He was able to charge an army even after losing an arm to a titan, and he didn’t even flinch in front of the Armored Titan. The only reason, however, that he ranks this low is that we never got to see him in more combat situations due to his serving in his primary role as a commander.

9. Armin Is a Nuke With Intelligence

Armin Arlert is the best friend of the protagonist and the last inheritor of the Colossal Titan. Armin was originally really weak, which resulted in him often getting bullied as well. However, he had a good head on his shoulders, as after Erwin, he was considered the smartest.

Despite having the Colossal Titan, which gives him the ability to practically evaporate a huge radius and trample armies, he ranks a bit low because he has no combat skills whatsoever, and the Colossal Titan is not built for direct combat either. Yet, he ranks above Erwin because he is still a nuke.

8. Floch Forster Is an Underrated Survivor

Floch Forster may look like an odd choice to put into this ranking, but his development over time says otherwise. Initially, he was an average soldier who survived purely by luck rather than skill. However, when he started following Eren, we started seeing what being completely fearless can do to a person. Floch evaded the Jaw Titan, Cart Titan, and Hange, while Mikasa was also present in episode 86 of the anime.

While he was eventually shot by Gabi, he refused to give up and latched onto the ship that was already going at high speed and survived. When it comes to direct combat, he may not be the best, but he definitely showed his skills with ODM gear in that particular episode to be considered at this rank.

7. Annie Leonhart – The Deadly Female Titan

Annie Leonhart was one of the Marley child soldiers sent to Paradis Island along with Reiner and Bertholt. She is the last user of the Female Titan. However, she doesn’t need a titan to be capable, as she is someone who trained her kicks from a very young age. She is the embodiment of practicing a single move a thousand times rather than learning a thousand moves.

She wiped out the entire Levi squad without effort, leaving out only Levi. She also gave Eren a real fight at the end of season one. The only reason she couldn’t climb this ranking higher is that, unlike others, she was not present for most of the story.

6. Zeke Yeager Is Effective in Long Range

Zeke Yeager is the Beast Titan and half-brother of Eren Yeager. He was introduced as an antagonist, being directly responsible for Erwin and many others’ deaths. However, later down the line, he ended up having a different outlook on life itself.

When it comes to long-range combat, Zeke is a monster. We saw him doing was throwing rocks, crushing them, which killed a lot of humans at once. The only reason he doesn’t rank higher is that Levi was able to deal with him in an instant, and if it were not for Cart Titan saving him back in Season 3, he would’ve died right there.

5. Reiner Braun – The Armored Titan’s Brute Force

Reiner Braun is the last user of the Armored Titan, and also happens to be the favorite character of Isayama, the author of Attack on Titan himself. He is physically stronger than Annie, making him rank above her, and he also shows some real skills in his titan form.

He battled Eren multiple times, even when Eren possessed more than one titan, and still survived each battle. However, Reiner’s primary strength comes from his titan form, and considering how he is more of a tank than a fighter, he cannot climb this ranking further.

4. Mikasa’s Skills Are Unmatched for Her Age

Mikasa is one of the primary protagonists and is arguably one of the best-written female characters of all time. She has the Ackerman blood, which means that she is fundamentally stronger than a normal human. With the ODM gear, she is nearly unstoppable, something that we saw when she dealt with multiple titans in multiple arcs of the anime.

The only reason that she doesn’t rank higher than the second- and third-ranked characters is that she was still very young by the end of the story and lacked the experience other Ackermans had in the anime.

3. Kenny Ackerman Is the Most Experienced

And now we are finally in the top three, starting with the character who is not talked about much anymore. Kenny Ackerman was the maternal uncle of Levi Ackerman, and he was the one who trained him. He appeared for a short while in the anime, but during his fight with Levi, which is perhaps one of the best master vs. student battles of all time, he showed what he is made of.

Kenny Ackerman was feared in the entire underworld of Paradis. The fact that he is the one who taught Levi shows what a literal monster he was. If Levi hadn’t been present during the Royal Government arc of the anime, he might have ended the story of the anime right there.

2. Levi Ackerman Is the Strongest Human

Kenny eventually loses to Levi, which makes Levi ranked higher than him. As far as a human is considered without a titan power, Levi is simply the strongest in the entire story. His feats are unmatched.

Even when he was a mere teenager, he was able to nearly beat the Survey Corps in a chase and showed amazing skills with the ODM gear. He was also able to kill hordes of titans in a flash without being detected by Zeke, and during the final arc, even when heavily injured, he was an absolute beast.

He is also the fastest human as well, as he was able to beat Zeke Yeager in his titan form without him realizing what was going on.

1. Eren Yeager – The Strongest Attack on Titan Character

By the end of the anime Attack on Titan, Eren Yeager has the Founding Titan’s powers, which make him the strongest in the anime. Eren Yeager started off with Attack Titan, and he showed his amazing combat skills even then. He was hot-headed, but he knew how to throw a punch. Then he eventually got the War Hammer Titan, which expanded his combat options significantly. It is also worth noting that he won against Reiner multiple times, who was trained to be the inheritor from a young age.

With Founding Titan’s powers, he was able to command every single Colossal Titan and erase a very big portion of humanity from the planet. However, what makes him really scary is that he had the potential to have total control over every single Eldian alive.
