Emma Corrin Would Be Facing Ryan Reynolds And Hugh Jackman As Villain In Deadpool 3
British actor Emma Corrin will be joining the Marvel Cinematic Universe with the third installment of Deadpool. Reportedly, she would be playing the character of Cassandra Nova in the project. Ryan Reynolds led Deadpool 3 is one of the most anticipated movies of 2024. During an interview with the media outlet Empire Magazine in August 2023, the Emmy-nominated actor spoke about her much-hyped MCU project. She said-
“I feel really excited to play a villain. I haven’t done that, and it’s an itch I want to scratch.”
According to Empire Magazine, Shawn Levy had seen Emma Corrin perform in a stage production of Orlando in 2022. He was so impressed by her acting skills. While addressing this fact, Corrin said-
“I’d heard about the project but, classic Marvel, they couldn’t tell me anything about it. Absolutely nothing. Zilch. So I met [Shawn] being like, ‘I don’t know what this is about.’”
Emma Corrin needed a crash course on Deadpool and Wolverine as she was absolutely baffled by the Marvel Cinematic Universe. She revealed-
“Hands up, I’m not a Marvel person. I’ve watched ‘Spider-Man’ and ‘Black Panther.’ I was like, ‘Look, you’re gonna have to debrief me into this.’ It’s such an intricate world. There’s so much to it, it’s an absolute mindfuck. All the language and the Easter eggs, and this person is related to that person who did this, and this person came back and this person’s dead… it’s amazing.”
Deadpool 3 was supposed to be released on May 3, but due to the dual strikes in Hollywood, the theatrical release was delayed to July 26.
Ryan Reynolds Pens A Heartfelt Note After Wrapping Up Deadpool 3
After the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, Shawn Levy helmed the third installment of Deadpool is wrapped up now. Recently, The Proposal star Ryan Reynolds penned a heartfelt note on Instagram. The actor expressed his gratitude to the cast and crew of Deadpool 3 who battled wind, rain, and as well as the dual strike. His post read as:
“The suit hides blood. Also sweat… But today, with Deadpool wrapping, it’s mostly tears. A giant and forever thanks to the cast and crew of our film who battled wind, rain, strikes and @thehughjackman… all under the stalwart leadership of @slevydirect” wrote the actor who plays the Merc with the Mouth. I got to make a movie with my closest pals and that doesn’t happen very often. See ya July 26th,”

Hugh Jackman also expressed his gratitude for both Shawn Levy and Ryan Reynolds on X.His post mentioned-

To two of my best mates @VancityReynolds and @ShawnLevyDirect I literally couldn’t have done this without you. Literally! July 26th can’t come soon enough. Time to shave.”
Deadpool 3 is bringing back Hugh Jackman’s one of the most iconic characters Wolverine along with the rumored entry of Jennifer Garner as Elektra on board. Shawn Levy believes that the WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes were nothing less than a blessing in disguise because as per Deadline the entire crew and cast of the movie were “excited, coiled, and ready to pounce” as soon as they got over.
Deadpool 3 will be hitting the theatres on July 26, 2024.
