The Demon Slayer series has taken the world by storm ever since its release all the way back in April 2019. The series has since then received quite a ton of awards for its incredible animation. Studio Ufotable has always had quite a good reputation among the Demon Slayer fandom. However, with their 4th season currently airing, there have been some who haven’t been happy with the trajectory that the show is heading towards.

Demon Slayer has always had quite an impressive cast of characters. However, fans have started to realize a trend of the animation studio in charge of Koyoharu Gotouge’s manga, as it has not been giving as much focus to the female characters in the series.

The Demon Slayer fans are finally getting to witness the Hashira Training Arc get animated as the series nears the end. 5 episodes have already been released, and the series is certainly giving fans some hilarious and light-hearted moments. This is most likely to be the calm before the storm.

This season was supposed to be a period of time where fans could just wind down and enjoy Tanjiro and the rest of the Demon Slayer Corps struggle with the grueling training. However, Ufotable’s decision to give more screen time to the male Hashiras than to the female Hashiras has become apparent to quite a lot of the viewers.

Episode 5 of Demon Slayer Season 4 was when they started receiving some backlash, as the Love Hashira, Mitsuri had only 4 minutes of screen time, which also included the opening theme of the anime. A user on Twitter by the username @mtisuris made sure to point out the odd irregularity.

It’s certainly interesting to see how the direction that Ufotable will go as the show progresses. However, considering that the Hashira Arc only has 9 chapters, it’s a possibility that the creators will change their outlook for a couple more episodes. But what can we expect from the upcoming episodes of the season, if we go by the manga?

Hashira Spotlight: The Hashira Training Arc lets fans get a glimpse of the pillars of the series. Each of the Hashira gets a chance to display their unique fighting styles and personalities, as we delve into their past, wishes, and also breathing techniques that have helped them reach the pinnacle of the Demon Slayer Corps. In this season, get ready to be awestruck by their power and maybe even find a new favorite pillar.

Tanjiro’s Inner Demons: While training his body, Tanjiro also grapples with his inner demons (figuratively speaking, this time). The trauma of losing Kyojuro Rengoku in the Mugen Train Arc weighs heavily on Tanjiro as he struggles with self-doubt and the burden of protecting his sister, Nezuko. This arc also explores the emotional journey of Tanjiro, as he strives to become a stronger Demon Slayer, not just physically but mentally as well.

Nezuko’s Development: While sidelined due to her demon status, Nezuko doesn’t take a backseat in this arc. We see the beloved sister, undergo incredible growth all because of her strong bond with Tanjiro. The Hashira Training Arc just might give a hint at the exciting future possibilities for Nezuko’s role in the upcoming fight against Muzan.
