Despite Having Same $25M Net Worth, Jason Sudeikis Reportedly Doesn’t Want Any Child Support from Olivia Wilde in Kid’s Custody Case
People are advised not to be deceived by the hug Jason Sudeikis and Olivia Wilde were seen sharing last week. Apparently, the battle for child support between the two is still ongoing. The couple was seen having a cold war when Wilde got served on stage while promoting Don’t Worry Darling. The inappropriate timing of the delivery was unknown to Sudeikis according to the reports. But, it seems that the war is still going on and shows no sign of slowing down.
The catfight recently took an interesting turn and people are confused as to why Jason Sudeikis would do this in his right mind. And reportedly, so is Olivia Wilde!
Jason Sudeikis is ready to pay Olivia Wilde a reasonable amount
After a stretched-out cold war, Jason Sudeikis is finally ready to surrender. Sudeikis’ lawyer made an odd move that baffled a lot of people. Bill Beslow directly went to appeal to a New York judge to resolve all child support issues despite it being decided that it will all be handled in Los Angeles. But Olivia Wilde does not want this to happen. She wants both the issues of custody and child support to be decided under the same roof. Thus, she filed legal documents to dismiss the appeal issued in NYC. Since the very public delivery of legal papers, the legal battle between the two has garnered mass attention.
Jason Sudeikis also stated that he won’t be requiring any child support from Wilde. Sudeikis is an American actor and comedian, best known for Ted Lasso. Whereas Olivia Wilde is an actor and director. Both people share the same amount of net worth. But despite having the same net worth of $25M, Sudeikis offered his ex-wife instead to pay a reasonable amount.
“The moment” that got everyone hooked on the legal battle
While the director was talking at CinemaCon, in April of 2022 about her then-upcoming film and now a colossal disaster, Don’t Worry Darling, she was served with a mysterious envelope. It was later revealed that they were custody papers from her ex, Jason Sudeikis. The couple shares two kids together. This act took the spotlight away from her and her film, and thus she has kept the grudge in her heart to this day.
She said in an interview with Variety,
“I hated that this nastiness distracted from the work of so many different people and the studio that I was up there representing,”
She also added that she had to be a professional at that moment,
“To try to sabotage that was really vicious. But I had a job to do; I’m not easily distracted.”
Wilde also added,
“But, you know, sadly, it was not something that was entirely surprising to me–I mean, there’s a reason I left that relationship. The only people who suffered were my kids, because they’ll have to see that, and they shouldn’t ever have to know that happened.”
But in the end, keeping all the fights aside, both parties are concerned about their kids and would do what is in their best interest. More news regarding the matter will follow, as the judge’s set a hearing date for the 15th of February.
